Check-in/out procedure; Staff were ALL very friendly, helpful and flexible (please tell them!); very good location; cleanliness; breakfast (very good!); was happy I was given a room away from the busy street side (noise) as requested; overall very good

The heating system (slow to heat); insulation such that thumping noise from above heard too often; slamming doors in hallways easily heard when trying to sleep at night ("slamming/loudly shutting hotel doors" are a problem almost everwhere (better design needed)); at night an unpleasant food odor rose up in the courtyard (noticeable with open window); these were more annoyances but not huge problems.

The room was a good size, it was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Fresh towels were provided every day, and we were able to request an iron to the room. The shower has shampoo & body wash in good-sized bottles available to use, it doesn't feel like cheap stuff either. There is a small gym with water avaliable, we did not use the pool, but it is located beside the bar area. Easy access to the metro and close to shops, pharmacy, and coffee shops. Some great restaurants are located close by too. Very happy with our stay and great aircon available for the hotter months.

The pillows are not the best, a little floppy and thin when you lay your head on them.

You are met with a lovely scent and friendly staff when you enter the beautifully decorated lobby. The bedrooms are well-equipped and have soundproof windows. As for the bed, they have mattresses that work wonders!!! (I wish I had the same back home - hope they could share the brand with me :) ). The AC worked perfectly. The bathroom was well-lit and very spacious. I cannot reiterate how cordial, helpful, and attentive the hotel staff (day and night shift) were - THANK YOU.

The first morning we were woken up by a very enthusiastic housekeeper who was vacuum-cleaning the bedroom next to ours while hitting the wall with the power nozzle and moving some other furniture. The last night, we were shocked to find a wrinkled cover of a pillow in the bed that was probably left behind by mistake by the very enthusiastic housekeeper. Advising all future guests, if you were to book a room with a view, do request to be on high floors. Otherwise, I would advise booking rooms without a view. Honestly, except for a church, there is not much to view and there can be noise from the garbage truck or ambulances/police cars with sirens (despite the soundproof windows.)

They upgraded my room. I got a superior room, on the 9th floor, with an interesting view. Spacious and confortabel room. Excellent mattress and linnen. There is a door separating the wardrobe and bathroon area, which helps to improve sound isolation. Superb location, close to the best shopping area in Madrid.

You need to jump in the bathtub to take a shower. No separated areas for shower and bath. Poor cleaning ladies need to scrub the bathtub next day just because you had a 5-minute shower. Slow and small elevator.

It is Ok. I like the place, but something happened when we took a bath in the bathtub. There was a leak to the floor below and they entered the room without our consent. That is unacceptable because they could see us without clothes. It is a lack of respect.

Vicinity to shopping and places of interest. Clean rooms.

Very spartan lobby , guest have no where to sit while waiting to be registered. No hand held bidet are provided in toilets. Hand held bidets are cheap and beneficial toilet amenity. Its a surprise for us asians that these are not provided in all european hotels. If they are, it is labeled as extra and charged accordingly. So much so for cleanliness.

Great location! Salamanca is a central posh area of Madrid with a lot to offer and 10 minutes away by metro from all the tourist destinations: museum, centrum & co. The hotel room are clean and elegant. We had a room on a busy street but the room is well isolated.

Could not make the tv screen work properly with chromecast from my phone, satellite tv was also not always stable. Minor occurences as we did not spend much time watching tv, rather going out.

Location is ideal. Rooms at the rear of the hotel are very quiet. Beds are comfortable, mini fridge a bonus and toiletries are high quality. Staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating.

First night I had a hotel on street side which was a little noisy. However, there is an inner and outer door to the balcony which reduces a lot of street noise.

It was my first time in one of these hotels. Hotel is very clean, location is great with lots of shops and restaurants around, and the room (triple, in our case) was a bit tight but comfortable anyway. They had a retractable bed, which made it very easy for us to navigate the room by storing the bed. Overall, a good stay.

Nothing in particular. AC wasn't cold enough when we arrived, but we asked and it was fixed.

The location is superb. Within walking distance of all the important museums and Retiro park. The staff were extremely polite. I forgot an expensive watch in my room and they found it and notified me. The room was huge, modern and impeccably clean. Despite the fact that our room overlooked Calle Goya, there was no noise in the room and we had a wonderful view. I have recommended this hotel to all of my friends.
