Oca Ipanema Hotel

The reception area was roomy and with staff on duty 24hrs. All the hotel staff were very friendly, most helpful and treated us as more than guests. They were good at recommending places to visit and offering information about local transport and places to eat close to the hotel. The room was pleasant, had a balcony and a view over the city to the harbour and across the bay. It was lovely to be there and watch the sunset if we'd returned before dark. The beds were very comfortable and always looked crisp and white after the room had been made up. Towels were thicker and fluffier than I expected! Buffet breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of fruit, cold meats, and pastries, yoghurts, a hot selection and more from 0700- 1100. The cafeteria was open for coffee and pastries during the day evening meals could be provided and there was a bar open during the day and in the evenings.

Really very, very minor dislikes! Coffee provided at breakfast was disappointing, but espresso, capuchino etc was available from the bar. Toilet paper a bit on the economy side. Only one chair in a room for two - I suppose I could've asked for another, but as we spent so little time in the room it seemed a trivial request.

The staff were fantastic - really friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed for a one night stay and was very clean and comfortable. We had a great view from our fourth floor balcony and the hotel is in a quiet street. The ground floor bar/restaurant was handy for a late night drink or for coffee and a light snack or breakfast. Close to Urzaiz train and bus station and the shiny new shopping centre. Only a short walk to the historic centre.

The decor is a little dated but this didn't affect our enjoyment in any way.

The locations was great with sea views, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is a bit dated and you can hear the doors opening and closing but it’s peaceful to sleep for being so central. The rooms are quite big and so are the bathrooms. The receptionists were really nice and very friendly.

The breakfast, the coffee was cold and the scrambled eggs as well. The room had a bit of dust and I believe the cleaners forgot to take the rubbish with them and left on the top of the bathroom sink.

The room was very spacious and was divided to allow for separation between the two beds, kids and adults. The furniture had nice details and it was just enough of what we needed. It was very clean. Breakfast was included and it had enough choices for the kids too. We could see the water. We would definetly go back.

Nothing to be honest. It was a clean nice place and placed in a great spot for walking distance to the mall and about 2 minutes to the ferry

The room was clean and open, bed was comfortable. Having a restaurant attached was a plus.

The receptionist told me the restaurant opened at 7. I came down then and the time was changed to 8 so I ordered a coffee and sat to wait. At 8 they told me it would be 815. They should be more straightforward with their open hours. Changing them after you've already given them out to the public is unprofessional.

The room was big and the bed was huge. The staff were very friendly and more than helpful.

The WiFi didn't work very well and my phone rarely connected to it. I wish the balcony had been bigger.

The hotel was nothing special, although centrally located. The room was relatively clean, spacious, comfortable enough. It had a bath, which was nice. There was an adjacent restaurant (we didn’t try it). The evening young woman at the front desk was very pleasant and very helpful.

The decor is a little worn down, but not bad. If you’re only staying a night it’s a good choice.

Excellent breakfast several options that was served on the ground floor. The staff was service oriented. The location was excellent with just a few minutes walk from the bus terminal as well as the bustop for the airport bus. The old part and harbour area of Vigo is just a short walk away from hotel.

Location is perfect, and people are very helpfull. The weather was very rainy and i borrow a umbrealla from reception whole day, it saves my day. Thanks for that

Isolation might be better, i heard every voice from next rooms. But it was not big problem for 4 days

The staff helped us to find the Camino way out of town. The hotel is in Vigo Alta and the path was a half a block away. Very convenient.

Our room had no view even though we were high on the hill above the harbor and it would have been lovely to have seen it. It looked out at the interior workings of the hotel and was dark. Still the staff was nice and we were only there for one night.
