The entire hotel is simply exquisite, with so much attention to detail in the renovation. The beds and pillows were unbelievably comfortable—truly on another level. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and even before our visit, they were very communicative and helpful, sending us a map pin to make parking a breeze. The highlight for me was relaxing on the stunning balcony, watching the sunset with a bottle of red wine. I absolutely cannot wait to return!

I wish I had a view of either the castle or the mountains, next time I come to stay I will make sure I get a room with a glorious view. Could have a couple more toiletries

The hotel is uniquely situated within the ruins of the castle, so you’re truly staying amidst the history of Kruja. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly; I had a delightful chat with him, and he was genuinely down-to-earth. Inside, the hotel is beautifully maintained. My room was quite spacious and offered a stunning view of the Skenderbeg Museum and the castle walls. The bathroom was impressively large—almost the size of a small double room—so it felt like getting two rooms in one! The shower was excellent, and from a small window, you could even see the Ethnographic Museum of Kruja. The location is ideal for exploring; it’s less than a minute to the Skenderbeg Museum and about three minutes to the old bazaar. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Breakfast was a highlight too—traditional and delicious, enjoyed with a view of the castle!

The parking spot is a bit of a walk from the hotel, but you can drive close enough to drop off your luggage before moving your car to the designated space. This setup makes sense given the hotel's unique location within the castle ruins in Kruja. Despite the distance, accessing the hotel on foot is straightforward, even with large luggage.

Olsi has been building a true gem in the heart of Kruja, in a spectacular setting, with incredible care and vision of what tourism could be: sustainable, respectful of tradition, authentic, and value adding for the community. Rooms are a jump in the past with modern and classy details, as well as very comfortable beds. Olsi knows everything about Kruja, and is generous in sharing advice without ever being intrusive. Cherry on top of the cake: his coffee is outstanding. In a nutshell, if you're considering a trip to Kruja (which you should), don't hesitate and stay at Olsi's Albergo Diffuso.

Staying at Kruja Albergo Diffuso within the castle walls was a truly unique experience in the beautiful town of Kruja, Albania. It was my first introduction to Albania, and I was immediately charmed. The proximity to nearby restaurants such as Bardhi and Emiliano, both offering stunning views just a 2-minute walk away, added to the appeal. We opted to park at the 24-hour parking lot in Kruja and enjoyed a scenic 5-minute walk up to the castle. The solitude of being there in April, with hardly any other visitors around, made it feel like we had our own private castle. Overall, this was a stay well worth experiencing.

They are expanding to offer breakfast at the hotel, which was the only issue for me.

Style. Extraordinary Albergo Diffuso (scattered hotel). The first in Albania Setting. Time travel within confines of Kruja Castle Explore. Mountain town Kruje. Hiking in the area. Museum on site to learn all about Albania’s legends Rooms. Was in a upstairs room, lovely balcony with views of the gorgeous castle. Room had a mini fridge so you can store cold drinks. @ the hotel. Parking is near bazaar outside castle. I had no idea where to park and had luggage with me but called and the owner Olsi Pengili came out to help me. Skipping checkin formalities was a relief after the long trip from Hong Kong to Albania. Sunset right in front of the hotel was magical and the whole Albergo Diffuso project Olsi is going through to restore and preserve this area is exceptional. The day I left, I had a punctured tire and the Hertz car did not have a spare, Olsi saved the day, a car mechanic showed up and fixed my tire on the spot! Food & drinks. No restaurant yet but plenty nearby. Originally wanted to go to Restorant Bardhi but ended up at Kroi, where they have fantastic staff, including the one that alerted me to my tire.

Great location inside the fortress and next to the museums and the bazar. The rooms and their interior have been designed with a very good taste and attention to detail. It feels traditional and authentic, yet quite luxurious and modern at the same time. I enjoyed the berakfast as well.

While the manager was very friendly during departure, he was not quite welcoming when I arrived an hour early. I would have appreciated the offer to at least store my backpack somewhere while having a walk through town until the room is ready.

Fabulous location within the castle grounds, the finish and decor within the hotel is top quality. Good breakfast served in a small restaurant, also within the castle grounds.

Slightly odd to have a TV in the room that has no channels... Only Netflix and other subscription channels. Obviously, there is no parking within the castle grounds, but please avoid the free car park (near the football pitch, several minutes walk away, that the management suggest as an option) as our car was vandalised overnight.

I liked that the hotel was inside the castle and you had quite a few restaurants 2 or 3 minutes away. It gave me a good feeling because I could if I wanted to stay only inside the castle walls because I had all the necessary things that I needed(restaurants to eat or drink and also the museum 1 minute away). The hotel was very clean and comfortable, it was also very calm there weren't any loud noises. The host was helpful, he suggested a restaurant to us that had amazing food.

Because the hotel was inside the castle walls you had to find parking spaces on your own. There were some public spaces you could use or pay for private parking(which wasn't too expensive). It's not the hotels fault but a detail worth mentioning. The hotel was still renovating and didn't have its own restaurant so for breakfast I had to wait until 11am for another restaurant to open to eat and some other restaurants didn't serve breakfast. This is a small detail that wasn't a big deal for me.

Awesome location right next to the castle (as in less than 50m from it). Nice new hotel with well equiped rooms (as per booking.com photos). Very comfy bed and pillows! Plenty of resturaunts & bars nearby. Shuttle bus & supermarket about 10-15min walk away. Don't stay anywhere else as for the price these are the nicest, newest rooms you will find.

No breakfast on site (not an issue as plenty nearby, but once construction finished the hotel will be even more complete) Slightly stinking bathroom (drains) -seemed to be a problem throughout Albania, so I wouldn't worry, but worth the host trying to address as a new property. The heating struggled a little bit to warm the room (winter).

It’s inside the castle grounds, very clean, beautiful style, very comfortable. The owner/manager is super nice and gives excellent recommendations for Kruje. Amazing view of the mountains, sea, the village and of course the castle. The castle is particularly beautiful at night and you only get that view from inside the walls.

No coffee on site but only because it’s so new. And there were several places very near with coffee.
