Centrally located hostel with creative vibes, right in the heart of San Telmo. The famous Sunday market is just a 10 minute walk away. There is everything you need nearby, a laundry, cafés, restaurants and bars. I booked a double room with shared bathroom. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I even received an own table for working to my room on request I enjoyed very much the beautiful terrace on the top floor. The staff is super helpful and gladly gives you tips for activities in Buenos Aires. Can fully recommend this stay and will gladly come again!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, they let us alter our stay and add more days once we were settled, they also gave multiple recommendations of places to check out and general tips. Our room was comfortable and clean with good facilities inside (aircon, safe, desk, clothes hangers etc) and not too noisy in the later hours even though we were next to the kitchen. We were given soap, shampoo and towels. The location was perfect, close to shops, bus and subway stops as well as some really cool bars, food spots, clubs and a market. Really good value for money overall.
The kitchen could do with some more utensils etc, you can generally get by if you plan on cooking in the hostel but be prepared to have minimal cookware. It looks like in the past the hostel used to have a functional bar on the rooftop, it would be cool if this came back some day to make the hostel a bit more social but it’s likely not economical currently.

Spotlesslessly clean, excellent location, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace is simply to die for. The value for money is unparalleled in Buenos Aires, can't recommend enough.
The kitchen was a bit understocked, if you're wanting to cook there you may need to consider bringing a couple of your own plates or bowls and be prepared to cook at odd hours due to the kitchen being in use.

I can't fault how helpful Marcelo was at reception - incredibly patient, he waited up until nearly 1am to let me check in after I had informed him that my flight had been delayed. He also provided good advice on local areas to visit and a Sube (public transport) card from another tourist (which I left with him after I realised I was never going to burn through 1,000 pesos). I also was able to store some clothes whilst I travelled to Patagonia free of charge. The hotel is a faded architectural gem so don't expect everything to work perfectly. The location is great, near to the bustle of San Telmo but on a quiet street with local shops. Naranjo, the ginger cat, is an amazing bonus.

It was really great, we stayed for 6 nights and the staff agreed really easily our request to extend our stay. They were super nice and chill. The room is really great, there is a kitchen and everything we need, really.
The appreciation of the property really depends on what we expect, on our end, we are not really looking for somewhere perfect, we are looking for the facilities and the usefulness.

The staff is incredibly nice and always trying to do the best they can in order we feel comfortable. I asked to switch off the light in the living room because the window of my bedroom was facing it and they reduced it without any problems. Also we can leave our suitcase before or after check-in/out in a specific room and still using the facility of the hotel. Location is perfect, close to the metro, bus and lively area ( San telmo market on Sunday )

The place has style - lots of color! Daytime staff who checked me in spoke excellent English and immediately gave me a map, marking some neighborhood amenities and where NOT to wander -- this helped immensely for feeling ok later at night when nothing about the neighborhood felt particularly dangerous but it seemed a bit deserted. There's a cat in the common areas. (I love it, but those with allergies should probably know too.) My private room was very big, especially for the price, and wound up having a private bathroom, which I don't think I'd reserved. Comfy bed, included a rack for clothing. Location is excellent, walkable for a lot even if getting rechargeable subway access cards (Subte) continues to be a bit of a scavenger hunt. (When I was in Buenos Aires in early September '23, many stations were out of the Subte cards, and I never did find a LOTTO store or kiosko selling them as promised -- if you've been before and have an old one, I'd recommend packing it. I did eventually find them, but it took a lot of ducking into every station I walked by.)
Not much bad to say here. Even though they're neat, I struggled a bit with the giant old-fashioned keys and getting inside and outside. (They have style, but...)

The location is in the centro but I wouldn’t recommend to pick this area, it’s very dirty, with homeless people and shit 💩 on the ground at the each step you take, be careful. Despite that, The hostel is nice, rooms are clean with AC and VERY comfy bed! Stuff is nice, helpful and friendly. Reception is calm and quiet. Many showers and toilets, so there is never queue.

Both gentlemen at the reception were very nice. They helped me with every question I had (what to visit in the city and around the country, where to go to get tickets to Uruguay, they were able to store my luggage when I went to Patagonia for few days...). I stayed longer than I wanted originally. The cat is the boss! There is a ginger kitty in the hostel. He will check all your stuff but he will leave your room for some sunny spot. Don't lock him inside your room 🤠Rooftop is a nice area but not many chairs or tables and not maintained to the best.
As there were shared bathrooms sometimes you are just lucky to use one after a messy guest. My room had a door (and it is also used as only window) into the corridor. Which means you don't have enough natural light. And you also hear everything from the corridor. The cleaning ladies had their spot just around the corner and when they start cleaning at around 7am you just hear everything. Especially if you opt out for leaving the window opened to be able to see if there is light outside. You will not see a direct sun in that room.

The location was great - we loved walking around San Telmo. The man at reception was hilarious and also super helpful; we really appreciated the freedom of being able to leave some luggage for a few weeks after our stay. I think it's a bit hit and miss which room you get - we got one without a window and a small bathroom but it still had everything we needed and was comfortable enough. Plus, for the price, you really can't complain. A great stay in Buenos Aires - thanks for having us.
