We have stayed at Alivio at least a dozen times now and we love it. The facilities are fantastic the location is great and staff are always very helpful and friendly it is definitely our go to when we are in Canberra!! As always another very enjoyable experience 10 out of 10

It was very hard to get a seat in the spa at the pool but this was only because of the amount of people at the park ( there was one large group of people hogging the spa and staying in it for hours at a time!! Which was very selfish and unfortunate for the other patrons ) but very hard for the staff to police this situation

We loved the facilities at Alivio. The pool, spa and splash park were a huge hit with the kids. Even better was the Verandah bar and restaurant situated right next to them for when we alneedes a break. We loved drying off, colouring in, having a pizza and a cold drink and then getting back in the pool. The face painting was also something our kids looked forward to every day.

The rosella cabin we stayed was small, dated and had very minimal kitchen utensils, but it is what we expected given it was one of the cheapest cabin options. Next time we’d def upgrade to a villa.

They had us booked into a disability accessible accommodation, although when we booked our cabin was the last one available. I did not request a disability accessible room, however, my daughter has multiple disabilities including mobility so it was really good and helpful.

One room had two single beds pushed together, which the adults slept in which was uncomfortable as i needed to put my daughter in the middle of the bed due to her disabilities. I could not do that in the room with the beds pushed together as she would be uncomfortable and the fall between them. It would be good if take away could be ordered take away, not just pizza and garlic bread.

It was amazing. The restaurant is amazing and the gluten free option it great and the staff is very helpful and the water park is so much fun.

The only issue with the property is there is no disability parking at the front office carpark. We have a disabled daughter who can not walk long distances and uses a wheelchair and we had to drive down to the restaurant and pool every day and had to walk extra distance due to not being able to park close to the restaurant. We did use the check in carpark some days to go for dinner and pool cause all the car parks were full. Sorry for that we had no other option. We would like to see at least the first or the first 2 car parks turned into disability parking. Not just for us but even for everyone that may need a little extra help.

Lovely to sot out on the resturant balcony over looking the pool. Family friendly with multiple play areas and kids on bikes/skateboards. Cabin was clean and comfortable.

Cabins would benefit from split systems in the bedrooms. One bedroom didn't have a fan. The resturant balcony over looks the pool and seems like a lovely family area, but tje resturant manager isn't keen on you bringing your own food to eat there (we brought a birthday cake and got permission from the staff to have it there). There is no signage advising that outside food is not allowed.

The cabin was really comfortable & enough space for 2 adults & 2 children. Our children loved the play area, they would have loved the pool & water park if the weather was better. We loved the feel of the property, very family friendly, clean & being so close to nature with the property being surrounded by the bush, animal, and birds. Our children loved seeing and pointing out the Rosella's and bunnies on our walks or out the front of our cabin. We also liked that we were 10-15 minutes away from the zoo, major shopping centre, and war museum.

We didn't find anything that we didn't like, well maybe the weather and not being able to use the pool or water park.

Fantastic location with only a short drive to all of the major attractions. Backing onto the reserve & the mountain bike trails was very convenient & provided a relaxing outlook from our Garden villa at the rear of the park. The villa was a good size 2 bedroom unit for a 6 night stay. The restaurant/bar overlooking the pool is a great setup. Plenty of other sports options to keep the kids busy

There was only one thing I didn’t like & it was the appearance of the tiles in the cabin as they looked dirty or mouldy in places

The location of the park is very close to the City which makes it very central to travel across Canberra. The room was very clean, reasonably spacious with modern amenities and close to it's parking space which made unpacking and packing much easier. The facilities of the park were wonderful, with a lovely restaurant located on site, as well as an excellent water play area. to top it off, the entire park is very well integrated with the local flora, with bushes and trees s[read pleasantly throughout the entire complex which adds to your relaxation.

Although listed as having a queen bed, ours was a little under width which made sleep a bit cramped for us.

sports facilities were good. easy polite checkin beers were good easy access t the city

we paid a lot of money for breakfast and both days at 8.30am it was extermely cold and dried up. plus we had to pay for a coffee on top of the already expensive breakfast. Juices were left overnight so all the sedement had settled in the bottom and wasnt very ice. Evening food was tasteless, snitty wasnt cooked through but crumb was burnt. cabin was too small for a family, door kept jamming and no kettle, heating didnt work properly so we were freezing overnight, had to use lots of blankets bathroom ws old, sink very stained and pretty much needs a reno bistro staff were too bust=y chatting to each other at the table and took a long time to acknowldge us each morning, no smile no hello, very unapproachable

Alivio Tourist Park Canberra had excellent facilities. The pool and water play area was great and a highlight for my daughter. The children's playground was also fantastic and very accessible and safe for young children. There was another playground for older children, which looked fantastic and well used. Food and drinks at The Varandah were excellent, and service was fast and friendly. It was really lovely to see wildlife active around the Park, particularly in the evenings and mornings. Our villa was really lovely and a comfortable stay for our family. We will definitely be returning to the Alivio Tourist Park next time we are in the area.
