There was violence on the same floor between a couple. The male was very aggressive and his behaviour outside of the room was strange when I saw him on several occasions. I reported it after the first incident and did not really agree that "her bipolar condition" had much to do with anything. She stated boundaries whether she was deluded or not. The guy was strange and aggressive. To some men, having a mental condition is a stigmatisation through which they can maintain control.

I was very hesitant about booking a room with shared facilities but reviews were so positive, decided to give it a go & I wasn’t disappointed. Check-in was easy then a personal digital card with access to building entry, lifts & room. I was on the 8th floor with a view. Small room but had a washbasin, wardrobes, cupboards, desk & bed that was a little hard but ok. Kitchen was equipped with all the basics, bathrooms were old but lovely hot shower & everything was spotlessly clean! Rarely saw another guest, so bathroom mostly to myself all the time. Light rail to city & bus terminus right outside the door. Couldn’t fault my experience, very happy I stayed there for the price. Recommend highly.

I remember this place from when it was a uni residence. A great place to stay, if you don't mind sharing facilities. In saying that, I never saw another person in the bathroom whenever I was there. My room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I'd be happy to stay longer-term as well. Each floor has a little kitchenette, then there are full kitchens on the ground floor, as well as a rec room type of setup. I grabbed brekky at the cafe one morning, and it was one of the best bacon and egg rolls I've had.

I honestly can't think of anything that would have been a deal-breaker.

i was a bit dubious about what to expect when I saw that the bathrooms were shared. they were clean, and well presented, and as there were not many people staying on our floor, it was really like being in a large home where you would share a bathroom. three on our floor - a male, a female and a uni-sex. all three had 2 toilets, a shower and a bath with overhead shower. plenty of hot water. :-) The location was excellent. a pleasant 20+minutes to city centre if the weather is nice, and the Tram stop right outside which goes to the central area - and the coach station. We were able to use public transport for the places we wanted to visit, and the other places on our list were not too far (or expensive) using Uber.

It really wasn't a problem for us, but be aware that If planning a self catering stay, cooking options are limited to microwave cooking or cold meal options, so plan ahead. An electric jug, toaster is provided. but the collection of plates and cutlery needs expansion. take your own sharp knife. I will go prepared next time.

Check in and out was super simple and fast. They allow late check in no worries. Rooms are good enough for a couple of nights, assuming that you're out and about on Canberra. Bathrooms are clean. Kitchenettes are useful.

Walls are a bit thin, and there are large gaps underneath room doors - so it could be a bit noisy depending on your neighbours and cars driving on the main road outside. The heating/cooling is centrally controlled. One night I stayed in a hot and stuffy room, and the other night was ideal. Luck of the draw I guess!

The room was very comfortable and beautiful. l loved. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there's a sink inside of the room. A nice wardrobe and space to place personal objects. The bathroom was clean, and there's one for both sex that we could use too. The location is in front of a tram stop. It is lovely and easy to go everywhere.

My room was close to the male bathroom, and early morning, l could listen to the door being opened and closed for other guests.

The location was excellent - right in the middle of town and within easy walking distance of the conference centre I was attending. The room is similar to a boarding house dorm - not fancy, but very functional. It came with a desk, shelves, a cupboard and a sink. The shared bathrooms and toilets were clean.

There was some noise from other travellers, but not too bad. My room was near the elevators which might be part of the reason. The wifi worked but was incredibly slow.

Accommodation was precisely as advertised: a basic room with shared facilities. The kitchenette on the local floor was valuable. Card access was simple, and other residents generally kept to themselves.

I was a little surprised that it took the booking platform 15–20 minutes to filter through my booking – but hardly a major problem. First evening (a Friday) included an on-site dance party, though the loud music ceased promptly at 11pm.

All really good, what I’ll write about I didn’t like is just an advice to improve for the nexts guests.

No rubbish bin outside close by to put the rubish bag from the room. One room of the two bedroom apartment didn’t have door or something to keep it more private. Piano playing really early in the morning and really late at night that we could heard in the room. Maybe have a quiet time for the piano.

Excellent location, easy light rail trip to centre. Friendly staff. Small cafe available inside and nearby basic shops, clean kitchenette on each floor. Heating was adequate for Winter, bed was comfortable. Simple rooms but enough for a short stay. Nice open park is just behind.

Door lock tongue sometimes stays in- need to check door is really totally closed each time, wether going in or out. Easy solution as it just requires you to use keycard again and turn handle to remedy it.
