Signage for some rooms needs improving. A few of us arrived at the same time & thankfully the lovely cleaner (?) could direct us. 2 signs pointed to a door not easily visible.

Doors need slow close things or padding as some guests allow their door to slam however this didn’t happen at night when I stayed Tips for future guests: Finding rooms was aided by the cleaner helping me to locate / the person at the other end of the text about check in is responsive The wifi does work- allow time to load to the sign in page

Room was clean, so were the amenities, however there was a flickering light in the bathroom that was not repaired and it flickered on an off verry quickly. Reported Early Friday morning, but not repaired by the Sunday when we left. However there were 2 bathrooms, so we used that one. Plenty of cookware, plates and cutlery - big kitchen with lots of room.

Opening the bedroom doors - all locked and were unable to leave open, except for a small wedge - ours was broken so used a bin to prop door open. We stayed in a family room, where every room had it's own electric lock on the door.

We really liked the design of the hotel. How clean and how big it was. The bed was amazingly comfortable and everything is updated such as the TV. It was a good location due to where we had planned to go for the day as it was close by. Parking area was easy and was a breeze to get our room key. Easy to navigate the building too

The carpets were a bit smelly but that inevitable and hard to maintain. There was no available floor mat for the bathroom to avoid slipping when stepping out of the shower. We were hoping to find a flyer on the history of the building and couldn't find one.

The room was secure, clean and comfortable. I appreciated the location of the Hallows in relation to the distance to my weekend requirements. It is a lovely old building with a very classy interior. I look forward to returning where I need extra time to have a look around and experience some of the features the Hallows provides.

As I had never stayed at this accommodation previously, I noticed the signs in the shared areas - especially the bathroom. I was unsure about what was required of me to not have to pay an additional cleaning fee.

The Hallows is a lovely old building that has plenty of potential.

The Hallows is a big property and deserves having someone in attendance, at least during peak check-in time. It is never great to arrive at a property with a touch pad code to access the building. Unmanned accommodation is never very good, it just gives a feeling of "we want you to stay here, but we can't be bothered giving you personal service". I would have rather paid a lot more money for a proper guest house type of stay with a buffet breakfast.

The Hallows was a fabulous place to stay with our family. Usually we have a lot of difficulty as we are a large family with 4 children. No such difficulties with the hallows. The Hallows family accommodation was exceptionally spacious, with fabulous home style kitchen (with full size fridge and oven) dining/lounge areas and 2 wonderful bathrooms with seperate toilet. The kids had their own seperate bedrooms and kept them really calm and settled. We enjoyed the bbq area and had a great time outside in the sparse garden with the kids.

Only minor issues-there wasn’t much to fault at all! Only thing we found tricky was that we couldnt find a way to switch off the lights for the main family room unit hallway at bedtime. And the BBQ area was unlit.

The building is so interesting, I loved all the communal sitting areas and kitchens, the covered balconies, the games room where you could read, play air hockey or foosball. We had the king suite which had ensuite and air-conditioning. The bed was so comfortable. The building was inspiring and I loved that our room looked out onto a field where we heard sweet birds singing.

I wish that we had been provided with 2 keys not just one.

Beautiful old building. Room and beds were very comfortable. Good security. Had our own bathroom. Could walk around freely. Had a really lovely stay in Bathurst, and yes I'd recommend.

We were on bottom floor, could hear people walking upstairs. Also woke to children running up and down the corridors, might have been 👻 👽 😱. One last thing, would have been nice to see some pictures and info on the history of the place and nuns etc. All the pics were of panorama racing.

Usual type of accomodation in an old convent. Done up well to make lovely presented rooms.

All the lighting is sensory and kept going of. We had trouble getting it to come back on. A staff member turned up later in the afternoon and I questioned her about it. She said they should come on by just movement, which I said wasn’t happening and she said she’d report it. We tried all sorts of things turning lights on and off using door swipe again, there was no system that worked constantly, but we did manage to get them on each time eventually. Also there was no compendium with instructions for this, arrangements for keys on departure, suggestions for meals and points of interest. All this would have been helpful since there was no one at reception, just a locked key box with code sent to you prior to arrival.
