The Grand Motel

For what we paid, The Grand Motel far exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, and shower was powerful. Location was great, short walk to cafes etc, parking was convenient

On one of the evenings there was a loud high pitched noise coming from the corridor. A few people came out of their rooms to try and figure out what it was to no avail. Luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes, but it was concerning that there was no out of hours number to contact in these situations. I believe reception closes at 9pm

I am not a well travelled person and to me, this place was ultimate luxury. I felt safe and slept better than I have for a long time. The staff were great, especially Shane, who made me feel so welcome. The lift saved my hips and knees and was a real bonus for me. The spa and pool were perfect for my needs. I felt like royalty every time I walked through the front entrance! I will DEFINITELY be staying here in the future. Thank you.

NOTHING!! There was nothing I could be unhappy about.

Staff were very friendly. The cleaning staff were AMAZING ! Amazing customer service. The room was exceptionally MASSIVE and the beds were very comfortable. The shower, OMG the shower was AMAZING !! Very strong ! The rooms were clean and had air con and heating and a fan. Love that they had a swimming pool & the cleaners done their job exceptionally well every time we asked for new towels, rusbbish, etc. Staff at the front were friendly and always attended to our needs, esp my sons.

The pool was abit dirty around the edges but the water seemed clean. Getting into and out of the pool was abit dangerous, it was very high but they had pre warning signs every where to watch your head. Also, would have loved to atleast have a sink in the room to wash cutlery and plates and refill the kettle, we had to use the bathroom sink for all of that.

Anthony on reception at time of arrival gave us a great welcome. Kids loved the indoor pool/spa. Room was spacious. Foyer is beautiful. Lots of nearby restaurants, cafes & shops within walking distance.

Lots of noise from the street at night - vehicles, people leaving pubs, etc. Found it very hard to sleep. TV’s were glitchy, shower head was old & leaky and ceiling fans were noisy (clicking as they spun).

Walking distance to shops and restaurants Asked for a microwave for the room and got one Asked for the toilet seat to be fixed as it was loose and it was fixed straight away I have stayed here a few times over the last 3 years and have had no problems previously.

There was mould in the shower on the ceiling. I think they tried to clean it but was still there.

I booked a skylight room and then was thinking it would be small dark and dingy but was completely wrong, a big room plenty of light in the room with the louver shut. Bed was one of the best I have had for a motel room ever and very comfy. The Grand is in the main street of Griffith and a short walk from the railway station and close to a nice pub and shopping at the door.

Piece and quiet as had no noise at all over the 2 nights stay from guest or outside noise

The room and beds were very comfortable and clean. Brad was very friendly and informative about the surrounds. The location is ideally place in the middle of Griffith, on the shopping strip.

There the pool is much smaller than the photos make it out to be. I don't think the spa had heating capabilities, just jets. Elevator door a little aggressive, closing very quickly even when someone is stepping through.

Best room we have stayed in rural Australia. The room was internal with no windows but was huge with two story ceiling and massive sky light. Excellent fitout, fridge, TV, etc were all very new. Bathroom very nice like a modern city apartment. Undercover secure parking under the building with elevator access from the rooms and adequate room for a car and trailer. More like a capital city motel than what you would expect in a small country town. Staff super friendly and helpful. Indoor heated plunge pool and spa was a great surprise.

No bad points for us.

The air conditioning is a little noisy but we turned it off during the night anyway as it is winter and not needed. The beds are super comfy, very clean, decent size room with a little table. This is our second visit.

Wifi was not working in the room - had to open the door to connect then once connected could close the door but had to stand next to it to work.

The motel is in an excellent location with many eateries and shops nearby. Service is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable

We had a room over the lift and carpark gate so could hear them operate, especially during the night, but hey, someone's got to.
