The lady checking me in was lovely. As requested I was given a ground level room and they put me down the back where it was nice and quiet with no through traffic and plenty of parking options. The room was a comfortable size with a great air conditioning for the hot humid days and the curtains made the room nice and dark. The bed was comfortable and a good selection of toiletries and a good size fridge. The laundry onsite was great as I stayed over a week and the vending machine would be useful however I didn't use that as supermarkets were close by. A microwave in the room would of been great but the option to use one in the office was available.

The room was nice and clean however the bathroom had a smell to it and the shower hadn't had a good clean for a while. This may have been because it was just after peak season or because I'm a cleaner myself and notice these things. I gave it a good clean but the smell remained, I think the room just needs an exhaust fan in there.

We have stayed here several times. The location is very good for what we do during our stay. It is right opposite the Tweed Heads Bowling club, so no need to drive anywhere for a meal. The motel itself is a bit dated, & recently the place appears to have been sold. The rooms (although a little tired looking) are clean, a good size, have a sofa with table & chairs, which is nice if you’re staying a few days. The bed we had was a little firm for my liking. The room is serviced everyday, so things you’ve used are replenished. Staff very welcoming.

Does need a little revamping but everything is clean.

We have stayed here several times and the location & price are what we like. The motel itself has a bit of age to it but the rooms are large and clean. Beds very comfortable. Rooms that we have had, have all had a large queen bed & a single bed along with a 2 seater sofa, 2 seater table & a large TV. The rooms are serviced everyday to replenish anything that's required but you'll have to make your own bed. The off street parking is great as it's on a main road but because the units are at the back you don't hear any road noise.

Nothing really

For a mid-range motel, Bayswater Tweed was great. A fairly spacious room with a lounge, dining table and a bath (which was most welcome). The nice size, partly protected pool and spa was a treat, and the motel is hugely close to facilities such as the Tweed Bowls Club, the library and the two supermarkets (all within a 3 minute drive!!)

Rooms lacked a microwave, but staff were kind enough to heat up a meal for us. Placing a microwave in the reception area for public use may be a convenient solution.

It was close to family

The unexpected payment of $100 on top of the accommodation cost to be held as security that was not mentioned at anytime until we got to the motel and went to pay for the accommodation. Never have come across this before and found it quite unacceptable.

Good room. Loads of hot water. Comfortable bed. Excellent aircon. TV worked well and basic kitchen facilities were provided. Great little fridge. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soap all provided. The manager was friendly. Plenty of easy parking.

Although I had booked through Booking.com, I had to go through the whole identification and security deposit again at the property. After a 12 hour drive I was hoping to just show my booking number, grab the key and crash out. Twenty minutes later, I was still in reception signing documents and waiting for a copy.

Location & cleanliness.

Reception Staff barely spoke English- & acted like it was annoying that she had to speak to people. The Eftpos machine didn't work correctly for the person before me- & did the same when I scanned my card. I suggested there was something wrong with the machine- but she just continued attempting to get it to work & ignored me. Not the service I was expecting from Staff at Reception. 😳 A smile & politeness wouldn't go astray either.

The main entrance is not clearly visible and with the lack of obvious signage it is easy to miss when driving in a stream of traffic. With regards to guest parking, it would help if parking spaces in front of the ground floor rooms were allocated to those rooms by room number to avoid the need to carry cases from vehicles parked some distance away because the parking spaces in front of one’s room have been occupied by other guests.

Close proximity to the border to walk to Twin Towns & Cooly Rocks On. (1km walk) Club Tweed is straight over the road, so that was good for entertainment and food.

Seemed a little expensive, but it was the weekend of Cooly Rocks On, so that is to be expected. Not a fault, but just a shame the restaurant isn't still open. Club Tween over the road had great meals so no big issue.

Locating, parking, ground floor accommodation available on request for handicapped person Obliging staff, not overly friendly, maybe a cultural reason.

Not a microwave for heating take away foods etc. Shower is accessed by standing in the bath. Getting in and out of the bath is an accident waiting to happen.
