Strathearn Lodge is a gracious, spacious country lodge. All rooms have a private balcony with a beautiful garden, overlooking the hills and mountain ranges of Scone/Gloucester. It was so restful, even with our four year old granddaughter who loved the indoor pool and the gardens to explore. The rooms offered plunger coffee or tea, and local wines, and a complimentary port, which we enjoyed sitting on our verandah in the evening. The morning breakfast was fresh coffee and toast, in the sunny dining room overlooking the gardens, filled with sunshine. We didn't want to leave.

Loved the location just outside of Scone on a beautiful property. Greeted very warmly by the host Lyn and Beckie the resident pooch. The room is very large with plenty of room to lay out 2 suitcases. There's a spa in the big ensuit and a shower with good water pressure. The room is beautifully decorated in a colonial theme, there is a lounge, TV and coffee/tea making facilities and also a fire place with plenty of wood and expert advise from host Peter on how to keep it lit. There is an external door to a lovely little courtyard that overlooks your own garden and open country. The fire place in the dining room goes day and night and is an especially lovely room to have breakfast in or just sit and enjoy the fire.

The bed in our room was a tad firm.

The place was absolutely stunning. Gail was amazing and met us at the door. She was extremely welcoming and helpful. The pool was magnificent as were the gardens, the scenery and Oh My Goodness - the sunset and the stars at night! The spa was lovely as was the private balcony. We did not hear a peep from the other guests and it was fully booked, so the rooms are very soundproof. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful weekend away :-)

Nil - everything was amazing

The personal welcome from Lyn was lovely. The room is so big and beautiful luxury country. All of the little details like quality bathroom soaps etc. The wine available to purchase, the port on the fire place and the homemade anzac bikkies...so wonderful and surprising. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone.

It's a bit of a drive off the main road and a bit challenging to see the driveway when driving so fast so just be prepared.

Lyn and Peter are gracious hosts and Strathearne is a lovingly cared for family property. Suite 1 like the rest of the suites is exceptionally large and had unexpected mod cons (Apple TV, Netflix, etc). Lyn and Peter have thought of everything, included having retractable screens around the private spa bath to completely block light from entering the bedroom at night time. It was a delight spotting wildlife at night (we had a friendly frog and a sugar glider visit us) and the view to the fields through the archway in our private garden was picture-perfect. The pool was lovely and warm and the continental breakfast hit the spot. The decor is superb and the entire property is spotless. It was lovely to sip on the complimentary port and we even found some homemade cookies and chocolates. Lyn and Peter meet all guests' needs whilst giving guests their privacy. We would not hesitate to book again, even just for the cuddles with their family pup Beckie.

It’s a beautiful farm house with all the comfort of the old. Very clean and, comfortable linen, pillows and towels. The coffee making facility is very comprehensive, with a selection of teas good quality instantaneous coffee and also grounded coffee, fresh milk and even fresh cookies. All care was taken to give us that sense of thoughtful touches to enhance our stay.

The cleanness, the peaceful surrounds the modern comforts and the fact that it’s pet friendly and that we all enjoyed everything.

The room was exceptionally large and spacious and contained everything the heart desires, including an outdoor terrace with a wonderful view and a private garden. The large bathroom had a spa bath for those who like these things. Apart from our room, there was also a general sitting room where breakfast was served and which was equally well furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs and an interesting selection of books.

Our bed was a comfortable large double bed rather than a king bed, hence we'll ask for one of those next time. The Lodge is just a few minutes out of Scone by car, but the town has a couple of very good restaurants.

This is a charming lodge, beautifully positioned in the Scone countryside. The suites are large and extremely comfortable. Very private because of the thoughtfully created gardens. The common rooms are lovely. Breakfast was an added bonus. We’ll stay again!

what a wonderful place to spend a few days in the country . Attention to detail is amazing with everything from homemade biscuits and beautiful lavender scented products to use . Breakfast is included and is fresh and plentiful . Five stars isn’t enough for this wonderful place in Scone .

Lovely old property with a pretty garden all the way round the outside. Breakfast was great, lots of fresh fruit and in the spacious lounge. Spa bath, own private patio/ garden. Quiet location, but not far from Scone for a pub meal. Wineries of Two Rivers and Hollydene about 40mins away near Denman. Both good, Hollydene does a great lunch too!

We couldn't follow the apple TV instructions. But that maybe our lack of tech savvy. After about 45m we managed to get into netflix but not sure how!
