Considering it is in the centre, it was surprisingly quiet during the night (Mon/Tue). Staff very helpful indeed and a great wee car park under hotel. Small and compact rooms- as advertised- were clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The Bistro in the hotel has a great atmosphere- for all ages groups

The compact modernised bathroom has no window and you have to keep the door closed when having a shower or smoke detector may go off. Just a pity that can happen, but signage tells you .. no big issue, just a pity as my hubby is a big guy!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The bed on the first night was very firm and not good for me. I mentioned it to Ven at reception and he immediately arranged a different room with a softer bed. Not only did he give us another room but he upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost. The suite was awesome with a very comfortable bed and a living area/kitchenette. We also had a balcony with an ocean view. Ven could not have been more helpful and friendly 😁

The firm bed on the first night but this may not be an issue for others I just prefer a soft mattress.

Fabulous location, beach directly across the road, rooms are newly renovated, really comfy king size bed, fabulous housekeeping staff, Room was spotless! Great shower. Room had excellent air con, large room safe, small fridge, kitchen sink,microwave oven, kettle , toaster.Had originally booked a 2 single bed room (only availabily) but requested a upgrade if any cancellations) We were upgraded to a queen room. Our room 106 (1st floor) was a inside room. No opening windows but great blockout curtains to light outside TV in the room, never heard any noise from any room around us. There is a fabulous outdoor area just a few rooms down) that you can access that has 2 high tables with 6 bar stools around each and around 10 two seater lounges that are under cover with views to the ocean. ( not sure is this is also on floors 2 & 3 as didnt go above our floor level) Reception staff extremely helpful, beach towels provided at reception if needed. Good sized lift.

OUR AGE!!!!!! Wish we were younger! We are in our 60's ... Boof, boof noise from when DJ was playing! (until 3am?) was not good...... Would have no hesitation in staying in staying again, (at our age, just not on a weekend) or anytime DJ OR live music is playng)

Proximity to the city2Surf finish line was exceptional, rooms were clean and reasonably spacious and priced. Excellent shower, and a great quiet balcony for an afternoon drink. Great atmosphere, great location and super friendly staff, particularly George, who went above and beyond finding us a table for the Matilda’s game!

Rooms on curlewis rd quite noisy, especially given setup of city2Surf road closures. Would probably request one in the middle of the hotel if returning, but it may just have been noise due to city2Surf

Perfect proximity to Bondi Beach. The rooms are fresh and modern, with good air-conditioning and comfortable beds. The staff are helpful and friendly.

> NOISE. The hotel is on top of a lively pub so you will inevitably hear a lot of noise from below. The hotel is also on a main street and gets a lot of traffic/street noise. The windows are paper-thin. Make sure to book a room at the back of the hotel away from the roads. We had to request ear plugs from the reception desk after our first night stay (we didn't get any sleep as it was the World Cup final). > Small bathroom.

The location was 10/10 couldn't be any better! The rooms were clean and upkept nicely with a blend of modern upgrades while keeping a heritage touch. The onsite paid parking was easy to access after checking in and we had no issues during our stay. The dining, bar and gaming facilities onsite were also easily accessible while not being too loud or distracting if you didn't want to use them.

First, we had the chance to get a free upgrade, which was really enjoyable! The room we had, room 304, is very wide for a couple and was very clean. It also has a very wide balcony with a stunning view on the beach, and you can even admire the sunrise in the morning! The location is obviously perfect since it is located right in front of Bondi Beach, which I guess is the place where you want to go if you spend some time in Bondi.

It was a little noisy because of the main road in front of the hotel.

For pub accommodation I really didn't expect all that much but for work I really just needed a place to sleep. I was very surprised and impressed. Very tidy and comfortable and everything I needed for my work trip.

Was a little on the noisy side but it was nothing I didn't expect given it was on top of the pub and on a busy street in Bondi. However the hotel do provide you with earplugs to assist with the noise but I didn't need them.

Location was perfect! The beach was literally across the road. Restaurant choices were a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

Despite the location, the bed mattress hurt my back, It felt lumpy. Also, the bathroom fan didn't work, which is inconvenient because, as a couple, the proximity of toilet/bathroom to the bedroom living space... a fan is needed.

Hotel room was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable, with great facilities- such as hairdryer, iron, fridge and tea making facilities. Hotel is also in a great location as located right opposite the beach and plenty of shops, bars and cafés nearby. The man working at reception (cannot recall his name), was especially accommodating and friendly. He upgraded my room from a single to king with courtyard view on arrival free of charge. Cannot recommend this hotel enough- hope to be back again!
