The Clovelly Hotel0

Lovely position two steps away from the sea but still connected to the city with a bus just in front of the Hotel. Great room recently renovated and comfy bed, super clean and plenty of natural light with amazing view on the Ocean. Pub downstairs was quieter and less loud than expected, we haven't experienced any annoyance. As a plus, the Hotel's parking is free of charge and covered but can't be reserved, nevertheless we always managed to find a spot. In alternative, the street parking around is free. We will definitely visit again if in town, super recommended gem!

Brilliant location to get to the Costal Walk. Highly recommend the sunset or sunrise walk or runs. Food and drinks just downstairs! Convenient but very noisy. Free parking - only minimal or street so don't expect any if you're coming at a busy pub night. Easy check in, easy check out, staff were lovely. Room was immaculately clean, new renovation, cosy.

While it is understandable that the room is above a pub, it is very noisy - suited me but may not suit others. The building is very old so you can hear every other guest walking up and down the stairs (on top of the music) and (drunk) patrons chatting in the stairwell. Not a complaint, you get this with a room above a pub. Most can be drowned out by the TV. The rooms are NOT suitable for anyone with a disability/mobility restrictions - again, it's expected with a very old building. Only stair access to the rooms and narrow spaces around the bed and inside the bathroom. Again, not a complaint, just be aware to suit your needs.

The room was recently renovated. Very comfortable room and lovely bathroom. A few minor finishing touches to the ceiling in the bathroom are needed, but other than that, very nice indeed. The bedroom did not have a window, but the bathroom did. It had a view of the sea from the loo! An opaque glass screen separated the bathroom from the bedroom letting light in. We were expecting the pub noise to be a problem but didn't hear a thing - only that of very noisy neighbours!!

Parking was extremely difficult. Popular beach in summer. Pizza shop across the street was closed :-(

The hotel was gorgeous!!we were upgraded on our arrival which was amazing! Katie on reception was so helpful and very friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was lovely and big with a great shower. It’s right bye a gorgeous beach and a bus stop outside thst takes you right to central station. We stayed for 6 nights and it was perfect.

Only thing I would say is because it’s above the pub you can here a bit of noise, but it’s not offensive and not late, and to be honest we were in there our selves most nights!

I had day surgery at Prince of Wales hospital and needed somewhere close to the hospital. The location was perfect not too far away. Free parking which is rare in the areas around Randwick . Being able to go downstairs for dinner. The rooms were clean , whisper quiet, very modern. Bed was super comfortable.

Nothing major. I found the pillows way to high. Next time would bring my own. I did realise in the morning that if I had taken them out of the pillowcase they would of been flat, so maybe just the pillowcase was too small. Complementary milk could of been a few 200ml tetra boxes as the flip open ones were tiny. Foodworks was not too far away so no problem there. Otherwise everything was perfect .

Clean, comfortable, great view! We stayed in one of the rooms with a small living area over looking the ocean. We really enjoyed the extra space for coffee drinking and relaxing- and we spotted a few whale breaches!

There is a dining venue below the hotel which didn’t bother us because it wasn’t that noisy, they have great taste in music and all quiet by 10. There are stairs which we only found tiring after doing the coastal hike.

I booked the room for a night due to a cancelled flight and was sweetly surprised by this gem. The staff were wonderful and supportive of my circumstances, allowing early check in. The room was quiet being two floors above the bistro, tastefully decorated and comfy with a fantastic shower. I loved the location just a couple of minutes walk to beautiful and quiet Clovelly beach, yet walking distance to some fantastic cafes. It turned an unfortunate circumstance into a sweet mini holiday. Thank you.

The beds were super comfy and the showers were great. We were prepared for the noise so that wasn’t too much of a bother. Staff were all super friendly and the food is delicious at the restaurant. Also love the beach being so close.

The stairs leading up to the rooms were a bit of a hassle; definitely not super friendly for anyone in a cast or in a wheelchair. We had two rooms and found the shower/ bathroom in our king room better than that in the family suite.

Location, comfort, and relatively quiet even though it's a loud pub below. The place is well insulated because we were not disturbed by the noise level.

Not a fan of the rain water shower head, especially as high up it is - it's a trickle/no water pressure by the time it hits your head. Plus, no fun when you don't want to get your head wet :( The pillows are way too thick! You could supply 2 options, since you supply 4 pillows.

The team were very lovely and accommodating. They assisted with an early check-in for me. The property is lovely with bar, restaurant and sunny outdoor area. Rooms are clean with everything you need inside. Enjoyed my short stay.

It is not so much the fault of the hotel, the bar is not noisy at night, you can't hear it from the room but once people are on the street it is quite loud. Be aware there will be noise particularly if you are there over the weekend.
