Great staff, exceptionally clean facilities, and a lovely location. Despite having a shared bathroom, which I was initially concerned about, it was exceptionally clean, and with multiple bathrooms available, there was never a wait in line. The kitchen was also impeccably clean and well-maintained. The guests staying there were very respectful and of varying ages. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful with any questions or requests I had. Bondi Beach is a 20-minute walk away, with numerous dining and shopping options along the main streets. Baxley is situated on a tranquil street, free from noise disturbances.

Nothing not to like

Staff super nice, friendly and helpful. Information perfect for late check-in. Got some neighbour a bit nosy late on the 1st night but didn't happen again (thank you to the staff). Rooms, confortable and spacious. Bed, maybe not super big if you are two but way enough by yourself. Perfect to explore Bondi's area, not a noisy street but close by most of the restaurant/bar/café by walking distance. Very cool minibar offer and good wifi.

For the standards of the rooms, I would have expected a hairdryer (in the rooms or even in the bathroom) and a small hook to hang out the hand towel in the room, since there is a sink in the room. The shared Toilet and shower are together, they are not separated. It hasn't been a big issue, just got to wait a few times. It is details, not a big deal !

It was a very clean and well equipped room. The communal area with tea and coffee provided was much appreciated as the room was very small.we were at the front of the property and we were disturbed by other guests after midnight using the intercom as they had lost their keys. The staff were delightful. Very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage for a few hours post check out. It is quite a long walk down to the beaches but the bus service is excellent. I would recommend the Lebanese restaurant on Bondi Road. Fantastic food and service.

The room was very small and it was noisy as we were at the very front of the property.

The venue was lovely and all aspects were very clean. The common area was good and well equipped. My bed was extremely comfortable and the room small but well laid out. The bathrooms were very clean with provision of lovely shower gel etc. I returned to my room after New Year’s Eve to a bottle of wine in my room with a lover handwritten note from the team.

I didn’t have anything that was bad during my stay. If I was stretching I’d say that personally I prefer there to be a separate handheld shower head rather than just the overhead fountain ones because it can be hard to keep my hair dry but the shower was of good pressure etc.

Beautifully furnished, clean and modern shared bathroom, good provisions in room. Had a sink in the room and the shared bathroom was always clean - never had to wait to use it so felt like your own. They were happy to change my room at short notice from a single to a double with no cancellation fee. Lovely kitchen, friendly staff who had good local recommendations. Location really suited me - great to be in walking distance of Bondi (delicious brunches!) and close bus links to the city. Would definitely recommend!

Nothing - was great! I would advise to get an Uber or the bus/train from the airport to the Baxley. Do not get a normal taxi from the airport taxi rank, it cost almost double than the Uber that my friend took!

I liked the location, customer sevice, the rooms were clean, modern and nicely decorated. It had tea, coffee amenities in the room & in the shared kitchen. Only 20 walk to beautiful Bondi Beach but you can get the bus to Bondi Beach & Bondi Junction if needed. We had a good sleep and a general nice stay.

Did not love the clothing rack as it was very impractical. I could not really use it. The rest was fine. Is good price if you don't go for a massive event (which we did 🫠). Also, it would be great if you could use the shared kitchen area after 5 pm.

The Baxley is located in a lovely tree-lined street, with free street parking available. The entry is lovely, with a beautiful tropical garden inside the gate. Our twin room was upstairs - beds were good, there was plenty of room for 2 people to move around, and it had an open shelving unit to hang clothes, etc. There is a basin, which is great. A kettle, tea+coffee, and a fridge are all in the room for private use. Clean private bathroom was just outside our room, down the hall a little - which was fine for us - and it had lovely bath and shower products available for us to use. There is a public kitchen and dining space downstairs, with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, desk and computer, and a good sized table and benches. And lovely crockery and cutlery are available for guest use. It's a good 20 min walk downhill to Bondi Beach, but there are regular buses if you'd rather public transport. We were really comfortable staying here, and will definitely be recommending the Baxley to friends and family. And we hope to be back again soon :)

A luggage rack in the room would be great - there isn't really anywhere except for the floor for each guest's bag. Also, we were kept awake and re-awoken by an irregular groaning sound somewhere in the roof or next door - perhaps the air-conditioner thermastat turning the cooling back on? Our air-con was turned off, so it wasn't in our room.

It was ideally situated, short walk Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction and therefore the whole city. Loved how it was decorated and the lobby smelled gorgeous. The staff were friendly and i enjoyed my morning chats as i left to go check out the sights of sydney. Oh almost forgot that they have stocked the mini fridge in the room with water and local soft drinks, the pink lemonade was the nicest drink i ever drinked! And good shampoo, condition and handwash etc was also provided and smelled lovely too.

My beach towel was taken by the cleaning staff by accident but my own fault for bringing a white towel as it looked like one of theirs. The cleaning of the rooms was poor during my stay, a quick straighting of the bed linen and change out the towels. It was very on my arrival tho. Sometimes were was a nasty smell in the room but i think it was the air in sydney generally rather then hotel. My room was tidy, just enough room for bed, sink and dresser/wardrobe thing and a bit of circulation area. In saying all that i would stay there again.

The Baxley is a stylish, welcoming & secure guesthouse in a convenient location. Initially hesitant about the shared bathroom it really was not an issue. Our beautiful allocated bathroom was large and over 3 days we only ever saw it used by someone else once. The bedrooms are well appointed and have every thing you need.

The room was definitely on the small size (we had a double) but it was perfect for having clean, stylish and comfy base to lay our heads after full days out exploring Bondi.

Really easy check in. Easy directions and lots of communication before arriving. The room was lovely and cosey. Had everything you'd need. Bathrooms even though they were shared were spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really comfy beds. Had TV, fridge, sink and desk.I had the best sleeps. Great location, easy walk or bus to Bondi and into the city. Close to cafe, restaurants and 5 min walk from a supermarket and bottle shop. I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend to everyone and anyone.

An outdoor space would of been nice but apart from that I loved it and would come again.
