The Tamworth Hotel

Tamworth Hotel is exactly what you’d expect in a pub stay. It oozes history. My room was simple, clean & comfortable. The sink and TV were a bonus. Shared bathrooms had been updated in neat Deco style. I wasn’t disturbed by any bar noise. Twas an easy stroll to CBD and train station. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks Team.

My Bonza Sunshine Coast flight to Tamworth cost $39. Bonza services Tamworth twice weekly. It’d be great if Its service expanded. For other airlines charge a fortune. My train trip to Sydney afterwards was serene and scenic.

Yeah we liked this place, food & Room.. only short on tea cups in the kitchen and need to check with the responsible person in stockings the kitchen milk cups (def no fresh on this occasion ) and make sure to place them in the fridge clearly marked for the rooms usage.. This is only a minor issue... And wishing management success. Thanks enjoyed it

Staff during the stay were fantastic, but I left a couple of things behind and a comment made by the manager when I was organising to collect them was inappropriate. I appreciated the assistance in returning them to me.

beautiful old building, high ceilings, sweeping staircase, confusing layout.. brilliant.

kitchen wasn’t very clean, floors in there were sticky, nobody did their own dishes.

The staff, everyone went above and beyond to make us happy in which they succeeded. Can’t stress enough how amazing they all were ! The establishment is cosy and spacious at the same time. The showers have really strong water pressure. And the rooms are nice.

I forgot why I didn’t book there last time we visited Tamworth, and that’s because you have to get out of your room to get to the shared bathroom. But that just seems to be a Tamworth quirkiness and the price to pay to be in the CBD. It is a shame that the bathroom hasn’t been updated though, doesn’t live up to the rest of the building and the quality of service. Also pillows are rock hard.

Kind staff, great pub, great rooms, good bed

Smokers sitting at the end of the corridor and letting the smoke woft into the building at night. The big rolls of toilet paper you had to tear off on the ground or awkwardly hold.

Great value, rooms in good condition and really nice renovated bathrooms, good privacy. Beautiful historical building kept in good nick

I always love staying in old Pubs for the architecture, This one had very friendly staff and the rooms were comfortable. I liked the little sink and mirror in the room. Location was awesome (there was excellent coffee open early in the street opposite the back entrance) and the beer garden where we had dinner one night was beautiful with the autumn colours.

The bathrooms need a bit of maintenance. They were clean but the toilet for instance was missing a button and showers leaked - that sort of thing. Some windows in the doors need fixing too. There is a pokey shared kitchenette containing a toaster, kettle and a fridge - it would have been good to have it mentioned in description (even though it was low quality) as I would have packed differently if I'd known we had use of a fridge.

room was very neat. Bed was comfy. The linen felt fresh and new. Was nice and quiet in the room considering the pub below. Wifi was also strong and reliable

shared bathroom could use an upgrade. If only just to bring the out of service amenities back into action. Still serviceable
