Quiet surrounds, lovely garden and pool. Well kept and lovely people. Our unit was good, with a nice balcony. Very comfortable bed.

Very limited amount of cutlery and crockery and saucepans, Hot plates - only 2 and not in very good order. No coffee plunger. We found that Dicky Beach is not the safest for us as an older couple and ended up driving around to Kings Beach. We found this much better and was only a short drive away. We found it difficult to have to climb in over a very high sided spa bath to have a shower, and although WiFi was advertised, we had to have a connection put in to the unit to access this and then couldn't use the DVD player.

The location is great, as was the apartment and facilities. Across the road is a very nice beach which is great for a walk, swim or surf. The local surf club is here also with great food, drinks and very nice staff. Next to the apartment complex is just about everything you could need. Cafes, restaurants, bakery, butcher, bottle shop, and supermarket are all here. We parked our car and didn't even think about using it till we left to go home.

Probably the only comment we could make in the negative is the musty smell in the elevator. We just used the stairs instead, which isn't a bad thing.

Lovely room. I thought the pictures with the couple looked very photo-shopped so I was fearing it was gonna be sketchy, but the room is much better in real life than on the photos. The bathroom is absolutely massive. The shower doesn't look fancy, but the water pressure is 10/10. Had a little rental service with dvd's at the reception, nice touch! Rare in Australia: A coffee machine in the kitchen. Absolutely loved it, so tired of instant coffee in Australian hotels!

Reception hours were quite unclear, but the reception was reachable by phone when it was closed.

Direct access to a very nice beach straight across the road. All the local shops and takeaways you need just downstairs. Quiet and spacious rooms, no road noise.

We had trouble checking in, the locked box wasn't working, and no one answered the intercom service, had to phone the manager and wait for someone to come; an extra 30 minutes after a long trip. The coffee cups had been put away dirty, makes one wonder what else the cleaners weren't checking. Then on check out day the cleaners just let themselves into the room before we had left.

The pool was relaxing at the end of each day. I liked the spacious apartment and the large bathroom. The kitchen was well layed out with a dining table. The screen door between the living room and the bedroom worked well. Location is hard to beat with the beach, surf club, and shops a few minutes away.

The sign for key entry was a little confusing at first because it said 'after hours' key entry to the carpark, but it's used all the time. There was a little noise from roof workers, but we left the apartment after breakfast each morning and they were finished by the time we returned.

Location was great. Staff and other residents were friendly. Pool and Gardens were really nice. The apartment was a good size with plenty of space. Good parking.

House keeping wasn't up to high standards. Glasses had smudges on them, plates had dried food marks. There were very little cleaning products for us to use, such as cleaning spray / wipes. Only one sachet of detergent to wash dishes, no dishwasher tablets. We had 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the ensuite and half roll in the other toilet with no spare rolls to use.

Loved the space! The couches! The TV! The easy access to the carpark. Absolutely beautiful spacious accomodation in a wonderful location, staff were very helpful with a late check in and very kind.

The bed was very luxurious - but was SO soft that we kept sinking in too far and the bottom sheets were pulling out from the mattress. I think it definitely suits a fitted sheet rather than a flat sheet in future or else a much bigger flat sheet.

Location, spaciousness, facilities. Everything was great! So glad we stayed there! Terrific unit on the top floor with a balcony facing the beach. Really close to a grocery, restaurant and coffee shops. Lovely pool area, free parking, and the unit is in very good condition.

We loved our unit at the Portobello! The negative things were only small: the television in the lounge room wasn't great and there was no air con in the bedrooms. But the bedrooms did have ceiling fans!

Location is superb. Property gardens and pool is well kept. Our go to property when in Caloundra.

Unit was nicely refurbished, spacious and very comfortable. Unfortunately the bed wasn't the most comfortable. If we could suggest blockout blinds or thick curtains are needed in the bedroom and lounge as the morning sun streams in that side. On the housekeeping side - a mould treatment is needed in the shower recess.

I had just buried my husband Karl, hence only "alone" The peace, I had an inside unit, and I could recover from my lost after 57 years of a wonderful marriage. I could grieve, rest and recover so when I returned home, I could cope with the all the items that needed to be done upon the death of Karl. The pool was suitable for both swimming and seating in. Plenty of seating and tables and shade

nothing to dislike.
