Palm Beach Hotel

Budget accommodation. Clean and safe. Staff were helpful, efficient. Carpark, even though it is at back of Hotel is well lit and adjacent to Woolworths supermarket and Domino's Pizza. Shared areas - showers, toilets, fridge are kept very clean.

Two flights of stairs, however, I became used to it and the low cost of the room outweighed the stairs. NB. On arrival (and departure) will need to carry or wheel your belongings from car park at back of Hotel to the front to enter the accommodation section, which has stairs only. Shared Fridge and kettle are in common, shared area, but kept very, very clean.

Emma’s service at the reception was exceptional, helped with every need to help make mine and my daughters stay as comfortable as possible! You rock Emma! Thank you so much for your service, you made us feel so welcome! Rooms were definitely bang for your buck especially giving the location of the hotel!

As a cleaner, I would just recommend a little more dusting in the rooms like on top of the bed lights and little places that definitely can be forgotten. Also just around the showers, bleach and a scrub every couple days definitely will make a difference with the soap scum. Spray bottle with water, dishwashing liquid and vinegar is a god send on glass screens for water marks. Other then that was a great stay. ☺️

The facilities were clean and modern. They were probably the best shared facilities I've used at a hotel or backpackers. Rain shower head, soap and hair products free in the shower. The location was fantastic, icecream shop, coffee and restaurants near by and the beach was a short walk away to get a surf in. Free parking too! So handy!

The beds are a bit lumpy - spring mattresses can't do much about that. Maybe the foam egg shell mattress toppers could help but I'd still stay again.

Given the high cost of accommodation in the Gold Coast, this room was reasonable, considering the shared facilities. Showers are large and reasonably clean with shampoo, bath gel and conditioner. Even toilet seats were ok (Sunday morning a bit less). Even if the room is above the hotel, it was reasonably silent. Air-condition in the room which I didn't need to use. A table and fridge in the room. Free coffee and milk in the main hall. Coles, bars restaurants and beach nearby (walking distance)

The staff member at the hotel's reception was very polite, friendly and extremely helpful. The staff at the Palm Beach Hotel, downstairs, were also very polite, friendly, respectful and professional. The accommodation was basic, but still very clean and comfortable, for a very affordable price. I'd definitely stay here again.

For the budget price, there wasn't anything that I could complain about. The accommodation exceeded my expectations.

I loved the location very close to the airport and the privacy. I only stayed overnight so it didn't matter for me that doesn't have a proper kitchen. I paid for a bunk and got the room for myself.

I didn't like the smell in the room. The windows were sealed, so I couldn't open it to let some fresh air in. Instead i opened the door and the fan of the a/c (not ideal to waste energy, but it really smelled funky in the room) other than that it's a great place to stay.

WOW I was so surprised. After having stayed in other similar accommodations, this was the best so far for the whole share accommodation thing. The facilities where outstanding. The fact I could also get room service, there was a fridge and a hand basin in the room, was what made it even better! I'm a lazy traveler and do not wish to have to cook if I really don't have to, and like to be able to put things in a fridge where I can see it. It was very very clean, I could pick some things, but hey we can't all be perfect. TV, air con, towels and toiletries really what more could you ask for. Quiet in the building, really nice feel when you walk up the stairs into the reception, there was the communal lounge with TV, fridge for guests, but also free tea and coffee!! Won me straight away.... No doesn't take much for me to get excited I know!!! What really topped it was the young girl who was on reception, oh I'm sorry I've forgotten her name I think it was Bianca? Oh sorry I said I wouldn't..... She was so helpful and nothing to much trouble at all..... She went out of her way to help me as I was having so much trouble with my bank.... We sorted it she was very patient she even made calls for me. So thank you....I will most definately stay again, next time longer. Thank you Palm Beach Hotel.

Can't really say but to be really picky just a bit of outside noise. Oh and I was trying to close the door really softly but still had that clunk at the end.... Like I said that is being really picky!

It's central, the staff is super nice, the common areas are spotless clean, I honestly thought it was a fantastic place. I had booked for two nights but ended up staying longer. For the price you pay, you get an amazing accommodation - I couldn't ask for more

my room was a bit stinky and I couldn't open the windows to change the air, the bed wasn't very comfortable, but to be honest this is not a complaint - just room for improvement.

The shared bathroom was absolutely spotless, all brand new with amazing showers! The room was really big and had a sink in the room which was a nice touch. No noise at all at any point which was great considering there’s a bar below. Free tea/coffee and microwave facilities were great. Just an overall wonderful stay and would most definitely recommend!

Everything was fab!

Room was good size, only thing I would have changed, is the ability to open the window. Shared toilets were to my surprise really good, good size shower cubicle, and always clean. The hotel is located close to the airport and close to interesting places in Gold Coast (like SeaWorld), and that is great.

The door to the corridor was open all the time, and a dodgy person was sleeping on the sofas one of the days I was there, then I went out and noticed the front door was open, so not sure the dodgy person was a guest or a homeless. So, just check that all doors that lead to rooms are properly closed as for a little bit I didn't felt safe.
