Lovely quiet place to stay with friendly staff. We stayed in the renovated Deluxe Family Room and it was comfortable. The only facilities it has is a guest laundry and outside pool. It is a 30-40 minute drive from major towns like Atherton & Mareeba. Would stay here again.

Unfortunately due to it being Easter weekend we weren't able to experience the full menu at the restaurant on site, Pickle & Smoke. There was only a limited menu for the whole weekend so we only had dinner there one night. We also only got fresh towels once which was a bit disappointing considering we stayed for 3 nights and it was raining the whole time so the towels weren't drying. I can understand the staffing issues with it being a long weekend and not wanting to pay the staff but I always expect fresh towels each day no matter what.

A Serene Escape in Nature Our stay at this hotel was delightful! The forest-themed rooms, with warm green and brown tones, created a peaceful atmosphere. The huge manicured gardens added to the tranquility, offering a lush, serene environment.Everything was perfect. The dining area opposite the pool was perfect , with a beautiful waterfall feature that made every meal memorable. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the staff friendly and attentive. Malanda rainforest walks and waterfall are only a few minutes away by car.

Very tastefully appointed room with a beautiful view of the green park like property - with outdoor chairs and table on the terrace. Thoughtful little details e.g. a discreet night light in the bathroom. Lots of power outlets and good lighting with individual bedside reading lamps. Very generous and good quality toiletries. Restaurant was good - had a nice dinner and complementary continental breakfast. Enjoyed the stay despite bad weather.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy perhaps it could improve with a servicing. The bed wasn’t very comfortable - pokey springs.

How the restaurant went out of their way to cook a vegetarian meal for us, as we could not eat any of the main dishes at the Friday night smorgasbord. Thank you staff and chef. Much appreciated. I also like the continental breakfast put on by the friendly staff. The lodge is a great place for a relaxing overnight or weekend stay, for exploring the Atherton Tablelands.

We've stayed at Malanda Lodge a couple of times and always enjoyed being surrounded by nature and a relaxing environment.

Very comfortable room, nice beds, parking space right in front of the accommodation and a view into nature. Bathroom was large and comfortable as well. Located right along the main road.

Breakfast only starts at 8:30, which is really late if you have a long trip or activities planned for the day. No cell-phone reception (at least on our SIM-card/phone provider). Luckily an employee(?) appeared to help us check in, otherwise we'd have struggled.

Breakfast was excellent. One of us is Gluten Free and there were options available. Room was spacious and clean. Do not know what the insects were but the sound in the evening was penetrating but amazing - not an issue when indoors. Variety of birdlife roaming the grounds.

Really the only grumpy bit is that the Restaurant was not open that night and we had chosen the site for that feature.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The continental breakfast was awesome. We only stayed one night here but could've spent a week. Beautiful grounds, well maintained and clean, a lovely pool area and an exquisite dining room area.

Not that I didn't like but was disappointed that the Restaurant was closed on the Sunday night and we had to go out for dinner. I would have loved to have eaten there.

The renovation on the rooms were exceptional. So well done.

Despite their website and Google advising they are open for meals on Thursday nights, they were not open. We were planning a family get together of 8+ adults hence why we chose the Lodge only to be informed on arrival that they were not doing meals that night. If we had have known that in advance we more then likely would have chosen another location.

Our room faced the laundry where a very bright light shone for hours into our room, there was a nice sitting area outside that we couldn’t sit at due to this … which is a shame because the grounds are lovely … maybe at night the laundry should be closed by a certain time and the lights switched off

All you needed for an overnight or two while exploring the tablelands. Small but well planned room with everything a family of 4 needed in the 2 twin, 1 queen room. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom looked recently updated. The continental breakfast had many choices for toast, hot drinks, fruit and cereal. Also the location was perfect for exploring the tablelands. The pool area was also very nice though it rained our 2 nights so no swimming.

The shower does get the floor of the bathroom very wet.
