We enjoyed the cabin and especially the fireplace and the hot tub! Make sure to check that you are able to use the fireplace before booking (if using the fireplace is important to you). Great instructions and suggestions for the area in your cabin. DVD movie selection to watch in your cabin, little bit nostalgic!

1.Accessibility, during our stay it was very dark when we arrived and many outdoor lights were broken. No flashlight in your room. 2.Amenities (coffee,tea etc) for the price you pay per night, C ould be better quality. 3.No housekeeping for 2 nights = ran out of toilet paper, towels don't dry so well when cold and damp weather.

The host Shane made us feel very welcome and was a lovely guy. He took a special interest in making sure we were looked after and had everything we needed, he is truly passionate about his job and made our stay extra special! Thank you Shane 😆! The retreat is beautiful and was everything we wanted and more. it was private, spotlessly clean and the spa bath was very romantic lit with candles. The complimentary bubbly on arrival and the complimentary breakfast was so delicious and just topped such a special weekend for myself and my partner on our one year anniversary. I definitely recommend the Escarpment retreat to all couples, it will stay in our memories forever and we will definitely be back! Looking forward to seeing you again Shane 😌

Absolutely idyllic escape in stunning surroundings. The bed was so comfortable and the double spa bath amazing. Carolynn the manager was just fantastic and couldn't have made us feel more welcome or better looked after. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked fresh to order each morning and they were more than happy to adapt the menu for us too so that we hot our favourite breakfast! Thank you for such a wonderful break - we felt more relaxed than we have in years.

Shane was an exceptional host, very happy to help and assist in any way possible. The food was great and the room although large and with a high ceiling felt extremely cosy. The massage was amazing!

It wasn't until the day that we were leaving that I spotted the large bookshelf in reception full of movies available for viewing. This is an awesome amenity and I just wish someone would have pointed it out sooner.

The villas have some mouldy and musky smell. We saw a couple of cockroaches. There are some things that could be improved like more thorough clean in common areas and tidy up some broken items away from guests, replace some old furniture in the The Edge to make it perfect.

It was private, beautiful grounds, villas were lovely and the bed was comfortable. Having a Day Spa on site was a bonus.

Could have done with better heating. The air conditioner was very noisy and up high which took a while to heat the room which was cold. The wood burner could have been utilised as the weather turned cold.

This place is a haven of peace and tranquility. I loved stepping out onto the balcony and listening to the sounds of nature. Shane is beyond helpful and we can’t wait to visit again.

The location was ideal. It was quiet and the accommodation was clean, spacious and had all I needed. The fire place was perfect to warm the room.

Can't say there's much to put here. I wanted a peaceful, relaxed weekend and that's what I got.

This was our second visit here and it was absolutely amazing. The staff upon arrival were fantastic. The room was absolutely perfect. Very clean and comfortable. We love how quiet this place is but only a minute away from the Main Street.

Romantic, quiet, large room, well positioned, pretty gardens.

Breakfast window was only 8.30am-9am and you had to pre-order the night before. Not condusive to a sleep in. TV had terrible reception.
