Great location, tram stop is 100m away and gets you all over the city, staff super friendly, beds very comfy

Just far enough away from the nightlife to not have noise, quiet end of the city but super easy to still get around

No facilities to speak of … but at this price was as expected, important to us was location on city tram line as we needed to get to WOMADelaide on 4 days in 40 degree heat so walking not an option … free tram was a 5 min walk to left or right on North Tce. All staff were friendly & helpful (my heat pack warmed up in staff MW each morning for my bad back… ) room was clean & the ladies who came each day to clean were lovely. Room size was good too. Good coffee & breakfast cafe around corner (Peter Rabbit’s) we also bought bowls & spoons for cereal as there was no crockery, cutlery, & we were there 6 nights… wine glasses, coffee cups, kettle were supplied & bar fridge.

The old air conditioner was very noisy, can’t have it on to sleep… no microwave, very dated (but was clean), no exhaust fan in bathroom. No hair dryer (but 40 degree heat did the job)

great price and location

that you could not book parking with the booking of the motel room and whether you got parking was left at chance. that caused a lot of unnecessary worry about the stay.

This is a 1980's motel that is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Large and very comfortable room. Checkin and directions to festival activities on arrival were great. The motel is in the west end at the end of the free city tram section (which covers much of the city you will want to see). One block behind is a student area with a good range of small cafes and restaurants (the tram will take you to many more in the city area and Glenelg). This area of Hindley St is beyond the sleazy section and is just fine. If you are in Adelaide for the Festival(s), many of the performances are walkable from here. Late night return by tram felt safe with other people around as it's a uni and hospital area. Would be more than happy to stay again.

Ignore the unprepossessing entrance and achingly slow elevator: what is beyond is just fine!

The hotel is in a great location which was surprising. If we stayed on the opposite side or further central, we would not have explored the city and river the way we did.

Parking facilities should have been included, considering the area is enclosed. I understand that it's a first come, first serve basis, but the cost per night is something i would expect for a high-end hotel with a valet parking ornantower parking facility nearby. Not an area attached to the premises. Also, the room was very hot when we checked in. We had to turn on the a/c unit to cool it down which i found odd for a hotel. But it is an older facility and was a minor issue when comparing that the a/c unit was modern and worked well.

The Adelaide Riviera Hotel is in a very ideal location! A short walk from eateries and the Adelaide Oval. It also has a tram stop out the front allowing easy access to public transport. Staff were friendly

The lack of kitchen amenities, there was no toaster for breakfast. The walls at times seem thin and you can hear your neighbours through the wall. The elevator was also slow and when it did stop at your level it seemed to take a couple for minutes before the door opened. We were concerned we were going to get stuck in it every time.

location, staff at the reception very nice, elevator is ok, quick check-in and check-out, strong wifi, comfortable bed, everything worked, close to the train station, trams and buses

no microwave (it was not included when choosing the room, but if it had been, the comfort would have been even better), there was not a single small free bottle of water upon arrival, this is such a basic gesture that improves the quality of the service

The place is fairly basic but staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean.

I asked for a quiet room. I had one that was on the side of the hotel but traffic noise was still quite noticeable from before dawn. I think it would have been quieter at the back. I was told when I booked that I had been upgraded to a deluxe room - I very much doubt that. It would have been nice to have some herbal teas in the room.

Quite roomy, staff were very helpful especially when we arrived early from our ship. Hotel was close to tram and bus stops and just up the road from the Adelaide Railway Station. 24 hour reception was handy. On a main street with very little noise except on Friday night there was loud music coming from another building.

The bathroom was quite roomy but poorly laid out. The toilet was too close to the shower that you couldn't open the shower door without holding it open. The toilet paper was in such an awkward position that it was really hard to reach.
