My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I had a microwave, toaster and kettle, also a small fridge so was able to make my breakfast and sit out on my little balcony. There was an area outside to catch up with friends and a BBQ if you wanted. The motel was just on the outskirts of the main town, a walk of only 10 minutes. The staff were very nice. I thoroughly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing I didn't like

Have stayed in far worse motels. Convenient location, large comfortable bed, off street parking, after hours check in option, good size fridge with separate freezer compartment, balcony on first floor rooms, clean linens and towels provided

Very loud exhaust fans in bathrooms, zero noise barrier between rooms - can hear full conversations through the walls. No cleaning supplies for cutlery and dishes, of which only one set per person was provided for our two night stay.

It was clean and comfortable good bed and proper bed linen made it homey especially after a long days travel. Parking was good amenities were good and the shower was hot and strong. It also had shower caps a real test for good accommodation 😁. Good internet connection quality tv and reverse cycle heating and cooling. The room was roomy too. Was such a good stay we made sure to stay there on our return trip.

Very pleasant courtyard with shaded and sunny spots, we had a ground floor room with direct access so we spent much spare time there. Rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet and well insulated. Wineries are a short drive and a couple even walking distance, 2 pubs and some restaurants 10 minutes walking distance (opposite direction). Penola is only a small place.

Parking is away from the rooms, but ours wasn't too far away - you can unload gear at the door of ground floor rooms before parking.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable with good facilities. There is a dining table with 2 chairs and a separate single lounge chair. Also included are a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster plus crockery and cutlery. The property also has a BBQ available.

There was a noticeable smell of cleaning products but this cleared after ventilating the room. Sound proofing was not ideal with noticeable noise from other rooms.

The layout of the room and the balcony. I like that the "bathroom" sink sits outside the "bathroom". I've always found it a bit hinky to have to fill the jug with water from the bathroom. This deals with that to a degree. I also liked that the furniture is not ikea furniture and isn't built in.

Are accommodation was very close to the winery region which is the reason we visit in the area. The rooms were clean and a very good size. We had tea and coffee and biscuits provided. It was just a lovely place and we would return when next we visit The Coonawarra region.

Everything was as we expected. We did not dislike anything in particular.

We thought our room was spacious, comfortable with furniture well appointed. There was sufficient space to hang our clothes & store our luggage as well as being able to move around easily. The large window with sliding door allowed us to have natural light coming in as well as having the door open for a breeze. We also met the lovely cleaning ladies who we believe are an asset to the success of the motel as well as the very polite manager.

We couldn't fault this lovely place and if we travel this way at another time, we would book our accommodation here again. We did experience some noise from the upstairs occupants but this is often common in motels.

Surprised by space in room and thoughtful supply of crockery etc for those who are self catering for breakfast. It also had extras like a barbecue and outdoor garden space which would be lovely in summer

Some landscaping and a bit of refurbishment would enhance.

Clean, comfortable. Quality linen. Walking distance from town centre. Larger than usual screen TV. Spacious room. Updated bathroom with shower that didn't flood.

Overnight carpark away from room, not out front. Could stop near door to unload and pack only. Thought overnight cost a little on the high side.
