With the rate I was paying and some rather negative reviews I was not expecting much, but my room was quite large, well lit and spotlessly clean. The bed mattress and pillows really suited me. The bathroom was on the small side but typical of the era and by no means the smallest I've experienced. The shower however was quite large and I really enjoyed the plentiful hot water and hand nozzle with adjustable jets. The TV received all local SA channels as well as many from Victoria. Wifi worked throughout the stay and usage was not limited.

Minor niggle as I could have just run the aircon overnight - The bed was made up with only a sheet and lightweight quilt (it is almost summer after all) but the weather was quite cold and wet. The spare blanket in the wardrobe was thin and very small (single size?). An electric blanket was fitted to the bed but not connected, with the controllers, cords and plugs hidden between the mattress and base and taking quite some effort to retrieve and connect.

We loved the great value for money. The comfortable bed, the kitchen, the toaster, the microwave, tea and coffee with biscuits. Location was great too. Hand held shower.

The TV was screwed up and couldn't be turned or moved so we couldn't watch the DVDs we brought with us or the computer that had an HDMI out which we were hoping to plug into the TV. We had to watch the boring TV channels with pathetic ads. Luckily enough we were able to perch our laptop precariously on an empty box. But that was the only thing wrong with the visit. We made do. Poor little us boohoo 😢 🤩 #BrucesPlanet

I loved the no nonsense staff, drove in told them I had a booking, they asked for my name, typed it into their system and then handed me a key. The room I booked was a queen room and it was HUGE! It is bigger than my bedroom at home! The couch provided was super comfy, and the bed wasn't too bad either. There was plenty of storage provided and while cosy, the bathroom was perfect.

Due to the size of the room, the couch provided was quite far from the rather small TV. A few of the lights didn't actually work (but the ones that did meant I could see perfectly fine). And the window didn't seem to shut completely tightly.

We liked that the room was sooo large, clean and fresh. This is a pet friendly accommodation and the people who we met booking in and leaving were wonderful. The bed had clean fresh linen and the bed was king size and very comfortable. Air-conditioning was excellent.

I would have liked the bathroom to be a little bigger to move around in a bit better and the toilet paper dispenser seemed to have malfunctioned some way l could not release. But it wasn't too bad. And some shade over the swimming pool would be a good thing cos lm a burner!!

Location was good, breakfast not available as dining room not open. Room was lovely, and comfortable, had everything I needed.

Reception closed, notice on door to find housekeeper, which I did. She could not unlock the office door, so she went looking for the manager. Manager arrived from out the back of office, he was not wearing sufficient clothing!! He left it up to the housekeeper to do the talking. I did notice later In the day that he was appropriately dressed but that did not make up for his initial presentation. Apparently his daughter (Receptionist) had gone shopping for the day.

Very good value! The motel itself is 'elderly' but the room exceptionally large and very clean. Bed comfortable. Great airconditioner. Perfect for a 1-3 night stay without breaking the budget. I would certainly stay here again.

The TV was a little smaller than I would have liked (as I enjoy watching TV in bed!). Shower screen was cracked. Car park needs to be resurfaced.

The shower was the best shower I've ever used in any accommodation anywhere in the world! Everything was nice and clean. There was a desk and a separate lounging area, which was great. The heater worked really well and heated the room quickly. The bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets.

There was no cupboard for the crockery, cutlery etc, instead it was in a container, and there was no dishwashing liquid which meant I couldn't wash any of the dishes I brought with me. The mini fridge was functional but it was broken in a few places. The kettle leaked everywhere when pouring. My bedlight didn't work. The soap dispenser in the bathroom didn't work. I was going to report these issues when I checked out, but the Reception was locked when I left at 8am (I had to use the key drop) so I didn't get the chance to.

This Motel is a little out dated but they had everything you needed. Most of all the shower pressure was terrific & the size of the shower was good too. It was a comfortable room for the price we paid. The location was perfect close to everything, saw the sink hole, the Garden Caves & The Blue Lake which were not far from the Motel. The staff were friendly & very helpful.

The toilet leaked which we advised them of, hopefully they will get that fixed & there were pot holes in the entrance to the rooms which were getting bigger with all the rain.

Plenty of parking space. Friendly staff. QR code for more information. Folder about Mount Gambier in room, which helped make stay better. Electric blankets on bed for cold days. Comfortable beds. Great water pressure in shower. Curtains provide nice natural light in the day whilst also giving privacy. Location was central and close to everything!

Narrow entry/exit if others are checking in/out. Fridge is a little dated and bottom of fridge door is cracked. Bathroom is a bit narrow.

The room was very clean. The shower was nice and hot. Everything you need toaster, kettle, bowls, forks, spoons , tea, coffee, little fridge with fresh milk were available with heat blanket. The cleaner empty the bin and top up milk after first night. Close to where you want to see. We will stay again on our next trip. Thank you for having us 😘
