If you love to play golf and have a clean, peaceful place to rest after - Standpipe Golf Motor Inn in Port Augusta should be your choice! Absolutely great experience from booking to check out! The staff at Standpipe Golf Motor Inn were very professional with us and answered to all our queries. There is adequate parking, very clean and neat rooms within a lovely area with trees and golf course. The lunch after our round of golf was an amazing Indian cuisine.

We had not a single complaint!

The motel is located in a good spot being away from the road, but with easy access to the highway. This is the second time we have stayed there in the last 10 years and the standard has remained the same. The restaurant is particularly good, particularly for Indian cuisine. Breakfast is also available as is room service. Highly recommend this hotel particularly if you are staying on a Sunday as there are not a lot of restaurants available on this night in Mt Gambier

There was a personalized touch as the Owner himself came to greet us. The staff is extremely friendly , helpful and cooperative. It felt like a home away from home. We were a group of ~20 people including children and 1-2 of our dinner orders were placed beyond the Restaurant closing time but the staff was very courteous and warm - they didn't complaint even once. We had the Indian food which was finger licking good! :-) The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were very neat. It was complete value for money!!

Everything was great. Just a recommendation -- During the rains it can get slightly slushy. Maybe a covered walkway can be made between the rooms and the restaurant to cater for rainy days.

Check-in/out process easy. Nice to be welcomed and recognised as a 'regular'. Food great as always

This is in no way the fault of the venue. One of the guests became extremely inebriated in the dining room and created quite a disturbance for a number of guests (myself included) as he was returning to his room, resulting in the police being called. The venue was kind enough to offer a discount on my accommodation for the night.

I have stayed here many times. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and very clean. The beds are comfortable and the Indian cuisine in the restaurant is consistently superb. The best food in town. All the staff are great.

There are really no negative issues. The motel is a slight distance from the centre of town and that's about it.

The room overlooked the golf course which was nice and the blackout curtains keep the light out at night. The restaurant food is always of a high standard, especially the Indian cuisine.

I was on the ground floor and the neighbours above departed quite early on both mornings and the noise (i.e. footsteps making the entire staircase echo) is VERY loud

Staff were great, really accommodating. Room was a good size and had everything we needed. Restaurant was brilliant - food was terrific and they accommodated us for a vegan meal.

The bathroom is very dated - shower door was kind of falling off the track, although we got it to work. There was a lot of light from the outside lights coming through the blinds- blockout curtains would be great!

Room was very clean, this is an older property but the rooms are in excellent condition and well maintained. Restaurant - we arrived at the very end of service and they were happy to accommodate. The menu was a mix of 'Australian' foods but also had a wonderful Indian section and I have to say it was some of the best curry I have eaten. Staff were welcoming.

All the above were outstanding Requested room on the ground floor and room was just right for us The restaurant was great for us late arrivals Staff was awesome after a long drive from Adelaide arriving late was very good to have a hot meals

There was not anything I didn't like Motel was very quiet Staff were wonderful Both loved it cause it was close to the highway and listening to the huge trucks coming through from both directions

We absolutely loved the authentic Indian food. Our dishes we ordered were all delicious. The hotel was in walking distance to the old bridge. Our room was a good size for our family. Beds were comfortable. The property has lots of history that the proprietors enjoy sharing. It's a shame Bunnings is being built next door. I hope it doesn't take away the atmosphere of the hotel.
