Rooms were spacious and very clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a real sized fridge in the room and a coffee pod machine with a great selection. Shower was huge with great water pressure. Temperature in the room was great throughout and it was very peaceful, great for a good nights rest. TV was fantastic and you can sign in to your usual streaming services account also, wi-fi was also a good speed and free for guests.

The Room Service menu could have a bit more variety and cater for more dietary requirements, especially in the desserts. Would've enjoyed some mini bar in the room, this would just allow for convenience and not have to rely upon Uber to supply the extras that you might be needing.

Modern spacious hotel. Room was lovely - large, clean & comfortable with good lighting, plenty of power sockets and USB ports (regular failures in a lot of hotels). Good breakfast choices with hot and cold buffets and the staff in the restaurant were very welcoming and smiley. On site parking a huge bonus - worth noting that guest parking appears to now all be underground, the entrance to which is actually on Hotham Street (not Bell St). Drive straight into the car park (barrier will lift automatically), find a space, park and then take the elevator up to reception to check in.

Part of my reason for choosing this hotel was the on site parking, knowing I would then use public transport to get into the city, so there is always a compromise. However, I didn't think the location was great - Preston itself had nothing to offer and a walk up the high street is enough to tell you the area is depressed. Quickest way into the City Centre is train (30 mins) but also allowing 10 mins for the walk to the station and up to a possible 20 mins waiting time between trains (more at weekends), the reality is you might need to allow up to 1 hour in total. OK if not in a rush (which I wasn't) but pricing needs to reflect this.

I liked that the hotel was near a lot of cafes and was easy to access from the direction I was driving into Melbourne from country Victoria. My room was compact - but it was more than enough in size. The bathroom, however, is very small making it very difficult to undertake doing your teeth /etc due to lack of space. The shower is fantastic. The hotel’s soaps/shampoos etc are not single use - which encourages reduced waste. All three of the aforementioned are top quality with a lovely subtle perfume and left both my skin and hair feeling very soft and refreshed. I liked my view from my room. The assortment of teas is reasonable - but there was no instant coffee. Easy access to Uber eats delivery and the like was available.

There was a lot of noise until about 1 in the morning - mostly repetitious music - which was both very loud and very annoying - making it impossible to sleep without headphones.

Spacious, modern, extremely comfy beds. Nice and quiet couldn't really hear other guests except for doors opening and closing. Easy access to tram. New head chef with a delicious and affordable new menu, great for in room dining.

Some mould in the bathroom, but is to be expected. Wasn't very clear on booking or check in that full payment plus $200 bond is required up front on arrival .

The room was very spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. I especially liked how convenient it was to get a myki card at the post office located inside the hotel.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center and restaurants, but ubereats was easy and affordable for any late night cravings and tram 86 (just 2 minutes away from the hotel) would take you straight into the city centre in about an hour.

Nice, clean, and spacious room. Comfortable bed and pillows, adequate soaps and shampoos etc. Decent shower pressure. Staff were very helpful. Close to tram and train stop, some nice pubs and cafes in the area.

Breakfast was very expensive (28$ even after a 20% discount) and coffees were not included. Could get a self made filter coffee but had to pay extra for barista coffee which I think is unreasonable for a 35$ breakfast.

The facilities were excellent, the gym and sauna were good, no pool fyi. Vast lobby for some early morning work - I've never seen so many places to sit in a lobby! but lots of little nooks and crannies to sequester yourself away. The reception was helpful and friendly also.

We stayed on the 7th floor and discovered that due to a large local bird population the roof was very noisy with birds scratching the metal in the evening. Also the neighbouring building has university accommodation on the first two floors, so there are quite a few uni students around the shared carpark, which is fine, we went over and played basketball with some of them at one point but it's worth being aware of for future travellers.

I probably didn't check the size of the bed when booking online - it was a double size bed next time I'll make sure we get a queen size bed - staff are always extremely friendly The sofa isn't extremely comfortable to sit in for a couple Make sure a tea towel is in the room so we can wipe the dishes when we use them Many thanks - Kaye

Very comfy beds. Shower pressure was good. Room very clean. Great view from room 655.

For the very high price ($270 per night) there were many of the details missing. We had a room with a kitchenette but there were no plates or cutlery. No bin in the bathroom. Very difficult to slide the ensuite door open and shut. A $200 holding deposit on checking in because we were told ‘what if we trash the room?’, seemed a bit presumptuous. Most hotels take a $1 fee. There were no other options for this which was frustrating. Weren’t able to have some of the lamps on as they were not located near a suitable plug.

It was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a good choice of food and was open until 10pm. Shower and beds were great. It was easy to find.

The location isn't the most scenic as it's on a main road but it is close to the train station and very convenient if you are attending an event. It's a little tired in places but overall great for a 3 star hotel.
