Room was spacious and as promised. The room had a mini-fridge with 3 bottles of water. We had a $174 deposit taken towards the "mini-bar" that was refunded (reversal on card) a day after we checked out. The wifi is good and fast enough to stream video over a laptop. Didn't use the TV - which isn't a smart TV. So if you are into Netflix etc. you better have your own device. The location is good. Not too close to Stawell - and not too far either. There are good eating holes in Stawell that are within 10 minutes by car. Also Halls Gap too isn't all that far. So would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay.

We weren't sure if the water was chargable under the umbrella "mini-bar". So we didn't consume the water that had been provided - we didn't want to be bearing the (exorbitant?) costs associated with stuff from a mini-bar. Perhaps a note in the room of what is complimentary would help - it is awkward to ask at the reception by going back from the room. There's clear warning of what expenses you can be charged if you end up damaging for e.g. the electric kettle etc. So I am sure a bit more clarity of the complementary stuff (if bottled water *is* complementary) too is necessary.

extremely disappointed in the food. Motel knew they had 30 odd people booked for dinner that night and one single waitress working was run off her feet. my fiancé was served with an out of date bottle of cider. “scotch fillet” was about as thin as a piece of paper and “medium rare” was cooked until grey and dry. his vegetables were raw and crunchy. my Mediterranean chicken was dry as a chip it was absolutely disgusting. we were so disappointed in our food and service that night. unfortunately we will not be returning. hopefully they hire more floor staff especially when they know they have a very busy night ahead of them.

Staff and restaurant was good, friendly staff.

The room needed upgrading with new carpets. Tiles in bathroom were all loose and made cracking noises when walking on and the bed needs to be replaced. In advertisement of room showed new bed, the bed was older then me I think 😅.

We booked here last minute after our campsite plans didn’t work out, and it was amazing! Even better than the photos looked, everything was super clean, the receptionist we spoke to was lovely. The pools were also very nice (we didn’t have time to explore any of the other facilities as we only stayed for one night). 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay!

The only recommendation I have is to make the spa in the pool a little warmer!

The beds. Very very comfortable beds. Mattresses were of high quality. Enough beds for adults and children. Bush view from the room was amazing, really gave us a 'change of scenery.' Ideal stop for a break for those who travel to Melbourne.

Sound proof system? We could hear the next room guests showring in the night as if they were sharing our bathroom! The steak was not tender in the restaurant. The water in the lake could have been blue? The staff were nice though looked extremely busy.

Got an email prior to arriving with incorrect booking details. Rang the motel and woman was quite rude and said she would have the manager call back but he never did. Could have offered an apology when we arrived but nothing said. Gardens are in very poor condition. Don't think I have ever stayed at a motel that did not have any type of complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Only a small issue but very poor not to provide

Last minute booking during peak season to the Grampians. We were lucky to score a room for two nights. The team did their best to run the entire property inside & out. On location restaurant has meals which were surprisingly good. The pool is definately popular for hot weather, the pond/lake is a nice tourch to the surrounding. Overall a good stay.

When it's possible, perhaps the management can consider upgrade mattresses as they both were slum in the middle.

great location for hiking the grumpiens. The room was simple, clean and comfortable with a wonderful lake with ducks right outside the window. It was great to have milk and cold water bottles ready in the refrigerator. The food and the service at the restaurant were also good.

The pipeline made strange loud noises that made my kids a bit scared. thankfully it stopped during the night.

The room was great, the bed was great, the spa was great, it was quiet and peaceful and the lake was nice to view at night and in the morning.

The manager. We were charged for items from the mini bar that we did not consume, including a bottle of wine and peanuts. I was charged on my debit card and I did not receive an invoice either. I rang the manager to sort the issue out and he was rude, aggressive said I was lying and he was going to call back after checking out the items with cleaning staff but he did not return my call. I have emailed the property and have no response.

1) The indoor pool was great, my son really enjoyed it. 2) All the rooms having lakeside view is fantastic. What a great idea to have the sliding flyscreen at the back door so we can get fresh air in the room and listening to the birds in the morning.

The bed was too soft for our liking.
