Ht Hotel complex is charming and has plenty of spaces to spread out and relax while it's open. The staff were friendly and accommodating and seemed genuinely interested in looking after us. The food and drink was excellent, with a great atmosphere and very clean throughout, even with shared bathroom facilities. Our package did not include ensuites but the common showers were more than adequate.

There was not really an area to play games or relax once the staff had closed for the day. It would be nice to have access to a guest lounge rather than the reception area. Given it was a weekday, the close-up was quite early, making it feel a littel restrictive.

This amazing building has been beautifully restored and is now a major local landmark. The views form the front bar across the river are superb. Rooms are nicely fitted and spacious. Lack of breakfast doesn't matter as there are at least three local cafes within 5 minutes and a superb coffee shop. Silva. The bars are great places to sit - especially by the huge picture windows - and the bar staff were lovely. The hotel is surrounded by all-day terraces. Special nights - 'Parma and a pot for $25' bring in a nice local crowd.

The kitchen was a bit random, sending our starters and mains in a kitchen-friendly - not diner-friendly - order. And the bar can shut early on quiet nights, leaving you with no local options. Warburton is beautiful, but Very Quiet.

I had a single room with a shared bathroom - but was lucky to have the bathroom all to myself. The room was decorated in a quirky style. Everything felt brand new and the pillows and mattress were incredibly comfortable. The staff were lovely - one brought water up to my room, and another tracked down chocolate mousse for me after the kitchen had closed! The wine list at the bar is very good, as you'd expect in this region. The sommelier encouraged me to try a few before settling on the one I liked best.

It was a little cold! I couldn't work the split system heating, but luckily I had a standalone bar radiator heater in the room, that I used to warm up.

If I had booked directly with hotel instead of Booking com it would have been 20% cheaper. The information from booking.com on my confirmed booking indicated a private bathroom which I'd assumed was the reason for the higher price. This was incorrect and resulted in some disappointment but also inconvenience due to my limited cycling luggage not accommodating appropriate attire to wander to the bathroom during yhe night.

There's so much to like about this property! There's loads of character in the rooms, and everything is spotlessly clean, including the shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. We loved the ease of having the kids run around the beer garden in the afternoon, before an amazing dinner at the restaurant, and then just heading upstairs for the night. Highly recommend this property.

Tastefully redecorated, maintaining its old world charm

Our room was kept lovely and warm by the reverse cycle heating in the ceiling, however the building itself was very cold. I do acknowledge that it’s freezing in Warburton in winter and it must be difficult and expensive to keep a big old building like this heated!

My husband and I are in our seventies and, with a post Covid brain fog, the managers listened to our muddled up travel plans and cancelled with a full refund. We are extremely grateful.

The manageress was honest in saying, as it was a pub and a long weekend, it would be too noisy for us. We were extremely grateful for their honesty.

Food and drink were amazing, A little pricey but not unrealistic. Rooms were secure and comfortable, and the overall location was clean and pleasant.

The confusion over breakfast. For the price of staying I would expect at least clear instructions on the ghost cafe hours would be better executed by the hotel or clarity on locations to enjoy a meal.

Staff gets a massive 11/10 for me. Service with a smile always and everywhere. Couldn't have been any better

Can use some attention in cleanliness. Worked in the hotel industry for many years and know how hard it is to get it a 100% every time, so definitely get it, but just as a feed back.... it could be better. Staff definitely makes up for it 😊
