It has been years since I’ve written any reviews. I wanted to do so for Yarra Gables because they had made it such a special stay! (My way of saying a big thank you!) Yarra Gables was one of our favourite accommodation on our road trip! From the brief meeting with Ralph, to how they had thoughtfully furnished the cottage, you can feel their warm hospitality and deliberate thoughtfulness from start to end. It was felt through the little touches around the cottage - turning on the heating before our arrival so that the rooms were nice and toasty (we went in winter), the toiletries where they provided hair conditioners instead of the commonly given cheap 2-in-1 conditioning shampoos, the makeup remover tissues, the multi USB port by the bedside that were not only stylish but oh-so-practical!; and more. We felt so welcomed and taken care of, during our stay at Yarra Gables. I will recommend Yarra Gables to anyone passing by this area!!

The grounds are beautiful. The amenities in the room were plentiful. Check-in was smooth, and Ralph was very accommodating. Location is great close enough to all the things to do in Healesville with free parking available. Stayed in the family room, which was well appointed and spacious for all the things you'd need and do during a short stay. Would absolutely return. Heated blankets provided on all beds, a plus for visits during the colder months.

The split system works very well, but if you're looking for privacy in the second room, with the door closed, the heating does not quite increase the temperature evenly. Making the main room almost tropical in comparison. Something to be mindful of when visiting in the colder months.

Delightful cottage! Immaculately clean, comfortable, spacious & well equipped. We felt so at home from the moment we stepped through the door. Good location & very quiet. The large back verandah with outdoor furniture & BBQ was a lovely spot to sit & enjoy a cuppa or a wine. Ralph & Helen were very friendly & accommodating and upgraded us from a motel room to a cottage which was very kind! We appreciated the thoughtful touches like milk, chocolates, coffee pods, Glad Wrap etc. Everything has been thought of. Exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend & can't wait to return. Thank-you for a wonderful stay!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and anything we needed was provided for us immediately. Rolf and his wife were very good and accommodating with our needs. The room and everything in it was exceptionable, the room was spacious and so very clean, we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you so very much and if we ever need accommodation in winery region we will definitely be staying with you again.

Yarra Gables motel accentuates the heal in Healesville. A rustic, humble, clean and holistic place to stay even for a short period of time. Their backyard are designed for social media posts, highlighting multiple 'perfect getaway' photo angles for all walks of life. The room, complete with an oversized jacuzzi, heated blankets, clean toiletries and dishware, also comes with complimentary heart-shaped lollies for the weary travellers. The host, Ralph, is always there for a friendly chat or any recommendations of the area if the healesville pamphlets in the room aren't up to your liking. Overall, the motel serves as a great stay all year round.

Easy to locate. Parking at door. Beautiful grounds with many areas in which to sit. Table, chairs, easy chairs in room. Tea/coffee making. Attractive site. Microwave in room. Large shower. Toiletries. We enjoyed the stay and relaxing in the gardens.

Main road was noisy. No instructions for use of tv, air con, etc. Advice on restaurants, what to see/do in area were needed. We would have liked to empty our waste food and recycling into larger, outside bins. All are minor points.

Ralph is a warm, thoughtful and friendly host. The room heaters had been turned on (it had been a cold and wet day) so we were able to sink into a cosy room and relax immediately. Our bed was super comfy with electric blankets & the bathroom was very good. The whole place (it was one of the cottages) was immaculately clean as well. And to top off we had the best nights sleep!

Really there was nothing to criticise. Great value and very clean.And super quiet.

A fabulous stay. The home was amazing from the moment we stepped through the front door. Absolutely spotless a main bedroom with ensuite, 2 twin bedrooms, excellent laundry facilities (no dryer) as there is a clothes line upside. Spacious lounge kitchen /dining and a beautiful deck with barbecue. Double garage and quiet neighbourhood

correspondence was excellent. I had to attend a family issue from W.A. the care taken to ensure that I had a very beautiful comfortable. Stay was exceptional absolutely beautiful. I was upgraded to one of the cottages and felt extremely comfortable and cosy . I had an absolutely beautiful night sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the little extras face wipes to remove make up was a bonus.

Unfortunate one. Can I help this but there was roadworks going on outside and it was raining so the road was extremely muddy, but they did the best I could to accommodate traffic.

From the warm welcome until departure our family experienced a wonderful stay. More like a small house with attached secured garage. Good sized bedrooms with the master having an ensuite. Rear personal garden and BBQ area. Quiet with privacy easy access. All the amenities including a coffee pod machine (pods supplied).

The only possible inclusion I could ask for would be the addition of some bread or sample local produce. Offering discounts or other incentives to shop locally also helps the local economy as tourists may not discover these local gems.
