I didn't want something right in the middle of town to avoid late night rowdiness nor did I want a superficial hotel experience. Edelweiss is a very short and beautiful walk to the main gondola in town (~5 minutes), restaurants, train station, and ski shops. The best part is probably the staff/owners! They were quite accommodating, personal and friendly without being too invasive or anything. The breakfast was perfect and somehow their coffee is simply amazing; I only needed one cup, but I usually got too small pots every morning. I sadly didn't get a chance to try dinner at Edelweiss because I had other plans with the rest of my group in town. I love this little place and hope to return!

Firstly the staff can’t be commended enough. Customer service is at the heart of everything they do, and you feel that from the moment you arrive. We have travelled extensively, and I can’t remember experiencing more positive and genuine hosts, and across the board every one of the staff make a big effort to ensure your stay is as positive as possible. The location is ideal - a short walk in ski boots over to the main lift, and a short walk into the centre of town. The hotel itself is very quaint and stylishly decorated. The large, secure boot room in the basement is great for ski equipment, alongside a stylish wine cellar (which we enjoyed quite a bit of great wine from for a short stay!). The rooms look out over the Alps - ours looked out to the Hahnenkamm Streif World Cup ski run. The food is excellent. This hotel cannot be faulted. If you are looking for a personable experience in a location at the heart of Kitzbuhel, we cannot recommend highly enough.

I liked the friendly people working and vacationing here, always on hand for whatever you want, the rooms were bigger than other ski hotels I’ve stayed in Kitzbühel, and the 3 minute walk to ski lifts is lovely, you feel in town but have the quietness of not being in central town. The cleanliness was very very good, I popped back to my room after check out and the ladies were cleaning very very thoroughly for the next guest.

I’m not sure it could be better without sounding like a movie star diva. It was perfect for me and my 7 year old daughter.

This family run hotel provided top notch service and genuine hospitality. Location was walkable to gondola, train station, and the village center. The interior and exterior of the property were beautifully decorated and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and the optional dinner service was convenient for staying in.

Fabulous hosts - their hospitality makes a difference! Place is really close to the old town and to the cabine lift. Great value for the money!

Initially I thought we will hear the near-by train, but we did not, which is good. I would recommend less pictures on the walls, but again, this is personal preference. These are minor remarks, the hotel is great!

The breakfast was very good and the oatmeal was made perfectly. The dinners at the hotel were also classy and good alternatives for going out to eat. The location of the hotel was very good with 200+ meters to Kitzbuhel-Hahnenkamm train stop and at the same time to Hahnenkamm Bahn ski lift. I loved my small room in the attic with a balcony facing the mountain.

The common area, the garden, were amazingly beautiful. The owners were kind and always offered tea and coffee, and a nice küchen during tea time. There was also a self-service bar. It felt more like staying in a cozy family house than a hotel, which for us feels great!

Maybe it would be convenient to have a bathroom in the common area.

Friendly, well located with a personal rather than big hotel feel. The family were very welcoming and helpful and went the extra mile. Close to the town centre but you still felt in the countryside.

The artwork ranged from traditional Austrian (which we loved) but included too many mixed modern styles which could be pared back.

So impressed with Hotel Edelweiss! Klaus and Veronica together with their niece were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast, very comfortable beds, room with gorgeous views and soft fluffy white bathrobes! All the extras you expect in 5 star hotels.

We had the best welcome we've ever had on our travels. Klaus and the team were amazing, friendly attentive, personable and always professional. The standards in the hotel were really good, the decor and atmosphere were a perfect combination for a relaxing stay. Location was excellent, a 3 minute walk into town and the station and cable car were even closer.

The duration of our stay wasn't long enough.
