I travel alone and by train so I need a hotel within a short walk from the train station. I saw the location on a map but the Large Locomotive on top of the hotel signaled its location. The room is very basic but clean. Why I selected this hotel was 1) Price (I am in Europe for a month) and 2) Free breakfast. The breakfast room had good food. There was a hot plate for scrambling your own eggs! Nice touch. The reception was very helpful in drawing a map to the main shopping area and Christmas Market. I love walking and exercise so it is a long walk to the Centrum. However, there are buses and trams nearby. Lots of people stay at this hotel so it is popular.

The bed was so hard that I had to fold the comforter to sleep on. But, some people love a hard mattress -- it hurts my back. There are stairs to climb to Floor 1. I had the luggage from hell but I managed.

A really pleasant traditional family run hotel. Appropriately named for its location close to Linz railway station this friendly hotel is on a nice quiet street. While a large hotel it has a friendly cosy feel. The style is quite traditional in a nice way. Had a large room with comfortable bed, separate sofa with table and desk with chairs. Easy to use TV. A very modern bathroom with large walk in shower. A very good buffet breakfast in a large airy restaurant with a good vegan selection.

As usual in Austria no in room drink making facility.

It is located both near the central train station and suburbian bus station. If you want to have a daily visit to the outskirts of Linz, this is the address where you must stay. In addition, it is very close to the most of the charming attractions of the city. You have the breakfast , which was quite satisfactory, in a nearby cafe that has a cosy atmosphere. At the reception there is a buffet machine and a cigarette machine which are important if you need something after midnight. Wifi worked faster and fluently.

We liked our stay here. Our room was rather small but comfortable. Staff members of hotel were nice.

When we checked in to our room, cleaning lady wanted to hoover our room.Even though it took few minutes, we didn’t get why we were checked into the room, when it was not ready and hotel had many empty rooms. Second thing to mention is super tiny entry into parking, it was real challenge to get in. And breakfast outside of hotel in some random office building in neighborhoods was also very unusual experience.

Hotel is actually less than 5 minutes easy walk from main train station and you can reach it by crossing the area of buildings between main train station and hotel. It is situated at a quiet area and its staff are very nice. Supermarket and restaurants can be found at the main train station although more choices are at the city centre (which can be reached by easy walking or by tram). My single room is very spacious with a very well designed shower room.

The location was EXCELLENT. We (me and my 2 sons aged 18 and 20) arrived by train and walked to the hotel by foot with 20kg suitcases from the station. For me that was a huge plus. We were met by the proprietress who spoke English very well and was very informative and kind. The bathroom was great; shower very good, toilet flushed very well, nice basin, toiletries, towels, so all was good. The room decor was very good; looks like it had been refurbished recently. The breakfast was excellent. We arrived later than expected as (a) I had run to the 9am LINZ Parkrun and run back and had to get showered; (b) had to get both of my sons out of bed on a Saturday morning. So we arrived when most guests had eaten. Still enough choice for us. I really liked the later checkout - perfect for us before we moved into our next Linz accommodation a few km away.

All was good for us. I would have loved a kettle and some coffee and tea though!

Location was excellent, just a block from the train station. A very nice breakfast was included with our room reservation. Room was clean and adequate for our needs. They were doing some renovation on the property during our stay, and the updated section looked very nice. They stored our bags after checkout so we could explore town more before catching an afternoon train.

No negatives, as far as I was concerned.

Support from the staff was excellent, including assistance with finding a late evening restaurant on a Sunday. The room was comfortable and quiet, and met expectations. Breakfast was good, in the Austrian style, and the bar in the evening served an interesting local beer. Location within an easy walk of the railway station was appreciated, but there was no train noise.

Bath towels were rather thin and not quite as I would have expected.

Good hotel, very close to the railway station. Staff was nice, I liked that I could check out until noon. I could also leave my baggage there and it was very easy to pick it up before my train departure. Right now they are refurbishing the dining area, but they managed it very well that the breakfast is still available in a café approx. 50 meters away from the hotel.

Great location for traveling solo (for a day or so). Room was very small but ok (I expected even smaller one). Most importantly, it was very clean and for the most part - relatively fresh/renovated.

A couple of minor issues. The leather back of the bed was worn out. Not a big issue but perhaps this is not the best material for the purpose. Also, the pillows were too low especially if you sleep on your side - I had to fold one for better sleep - maybe that's how they were meant to be used :-).
