Beautiful hotel. We loved the old style decor and especially how the hotel was decorated for Christmas. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very nice with everything we needed. It is slightly outside the main areas but we preferred this as it was very busy and it's only a 10min walk away. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend.

Very minor things - the room was a bit warm for us even though it was very cold outside but we just opened the window. There are limited English speaking TV channels There is a clock tower which chimes every 15mijs from 5am. It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers anyway but some may find it a bit annoying :-)

The hotel embraces its history with tasteful memorabilia, but the rooms themselves are well-maintained and equipped with contemporary comforts. My mid-sized room on the 4th floor (easily accessible by elevator) was a comfortable size, with plenty of space to move around, even with luggage. We easily fit four large bags without feeling cramped. The queen-size bed offered a good night's sleep, although those who prefer a firmer mattress might find it a bit soft. I especially appreciated the very modern walk-in shower, a true highlight! While my view overlooked the inner block, it provided a haven of peace and quiet. All the expected amenities of a 4-star hotel were present, including English-speaking TV channels and a safe large enough to hold my 15-inch laptop – complete with a power socket inside! Room service and cleaning were impeccable, deserving a perfect score. The location is also excellent, with a tram stop mere meters from the entrance and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the city center (St. Stephen's Cathedral). While the hotel lacks a pool, gym, or wellness center, it does offer meeting and congress rooms and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and à la carte options. The breakfast buffet was extensive and satisfying, offering a variety of options comparable to other 4-star hotels I've visited, with a very nice touch – prosecco! While I can't comment on the price relative to other Vienna hotels, I believe the value of Hotel Stefanie lies in its prime location and charming character. If you're searching for a hotel with a sense of history, modern comforts, and a convenient base for exploring Vienna, I highly recommend experiencing the unique charm of Hotel Stefanie.

It’s situated in a slightly quieter, more peaceful part of the city, only a short walk from the main centre. It’s all kept really well, with a modern bathroom, while still preserving the traditional feel of its history. The rooms also come with plenty of extra amenities, including a shoe shine polish, shower cap, nail file and face flannels. The staff are friendly and genuinely want to do anything they can to help. The breakfast was delicious, with a large spread of cold cheeses, cured meats, breads, pastries, cakes, hot eggs and meat, fruit juices and even champagne. There’s also a cosy cafe/bar with a charismatic barman.

The bed mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, the duvet a little short and you might need to ask reception for thicker pillows (they have a range they’ll happily offer you). The wardrobe was slightly narrow so you might not have loads of room to hang clothes if you’re coming for longer than a few nights. The restaurant also doesn’t have enough tables to accommodate the whole hotel, so you’ll have to queue for breakfast if you go after 9:00, but it’s not too long a wait. However, these things wouldn’t stop us going back.

The room was quite large considering the price and the location. The mattresses were firm but not hard (perfect). The bathroom was spacious too. Best of all - the breakfast was great. There were plenty of options and it was hosted in what looked like a tiny ballroom with portraits of Austrian royalty on the walls and extremely smart waiters and waitresses busing the tables efficiently.

The reception staff didn't appear to speak English which is odd (especially since the staff in the restaurant did). There was only one lift available to patrons which was often occupied (given the size of the hotel this wasn't surprising). The room didn't have spare pillows which meant that we were left with a single pillow each. Also there only appeared to be quilts but no sheets which is odd.

The breakfasts were amazing. Traditional Viennese style. My room was in a very quiet location, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and I believe the bed itself was actually larger than expected. The room service was good. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The location was great too. A short walk to Schwedenplatz metro station and you can go literally anywhere in less than 10 minutes. I was checking out early, the staff have prepared a bagged breakfast for me, and called a taxi for me to the airport. Of course assistance with the baggage whenever I need.

I wish the room itself could have a teapot for boiling hot water. I had to walk to the reception to ask for hot water every time and it was not the shortest walk. Additionally I would like to have had more space in the mini-fridge for some snacks I purchased in the supermarket. I believe the shower should have some more shelves, I barely managed to squeeze all my bottles onto the one shelf bin provided.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I slept on, and the pillows were fantastic as well. The bathroom and the shower were huge, modern and well-functioning. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection. The air-conditioning in the room was super good which helped as we stayed during the heatwave. Location is really good too, you can be in the centre within 10-15 minutes walking, and there are many public transport options super closeby. The whole place looks like a museum rather than a hotel! You can spend an hour admiring just the reception area and the ground floor. 10/10 would recommend!

I liked everything about the hotel. I paid for a room, single occupancy. The room was a good size for one person and the bed was a full size which I appreciated. I loved the heated rack in the bathroom for keeping my towel warm. Breakfast was exceptional. I was not expecting a full breakfast and this exceeded my expectations. The lobby is open 24 hours so you can come and go as you like. They keep your key on hand so you don't need to carry that around with you in the city. The hotel was also reasonably close to the city center and it was easy to get around town and also use the train system.

Nothing.

We had an excellent two-day stay at Hotel Stefanie in Vienna! From the warm welcome at check-in to the comfort of our room, everything was just perfect. We were pleasantly surprised that the receptionist spoke Romanian, making us feel right at home from the start. The hotel's interior is beautiful, and the level of cleanliness was outstanding. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a great selection of quality options. We were also glad we chose to reserve a parking spot—so convenient! This was just what we needed for a relaxing city break to recharge. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very charming, elegant and classy. Within a 7-minute walking distance to the city center, there is also a direct metro line to Schonbrunn Palace within a 5-minute walk. The hotel is very well-maintained and kept. My room was fresh and newly renovated. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The breakfast is great. Staff at the reception even remembered my room every time I approached them.

The only thing I could have appreciated is to have free tea facilities after breakfast. I wanted to have some tea in the evening and had to pay for it at the bar downstairs. But the tea was really good and of high quality so it was worth it.
