Perfect location, short walking distance to all the best bits of town but far enough to seem very quiet and peaceful, especially as the festival was on whilst we were there, and we weren’t disturbed by noise at all. It’s a stones throw from some very nice cafes, bars and restaurants, so even if you didn’t want to go into the middle of Ghent there’s plenty of places to try. It actually feels very safe and secluded in the hotel and there is a lovely central quite big courtyard type garden area in the middle of the property. Rooms are spotlessly clean with nice light and windows that open onto the garden area. The staff in particular were very sweet and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our only disappointment was that there seemed to be a shortage of coffee when we were there! The room was not topped up with coffee facilities at all and we kept having to ask at reception for coffee pods for our morning cup of coffee, not good!

There was nothing we didn’t like, it was all fine and I would definitely stay in the same hotel again.

My family of 4 (ages 18+) stayed in a quad room. Two of the beds (bunk beds) were in a separate room which gave us all more space for privacy and relaxation, which was really nice. Hotel was quiet and peaceful, staff was helpful, and breakfast was good and super convenient and included champagne! We loved that it’s a historic property. The courtyard is a nice area for hanging out in the evenings or for bringing in food for a picnic.

There are very few restaurants in the immediate area so you will need to walk 10-15 minutes. For the most part this is fine, but when you are tired and just want something quick, it would be nice to have nearby options.

Unique and historical building in good location. Nice room with plenty of space and wiews to the garden. Very good breakfast, even sparkling wine was included.

We stayed 3 nights and had to leave at 7.30 am. on Sunday. We asked if we could have breakfast at 7 o’clock on the last day. Young and nice staff member told that she will ask if it is possible. We were told to come back to the reception later to hear the answer. When we went there, other staff member told it is not possible (or he isn’t sure), kitchen staff don’t be ready so early etc. We felt that our request was exaggerated and we were not welcome. Finally everything went well and the breakfast was open for everybody at 7 o’clock. Summary: there were some communication problems.

Great atmosphere in a fabulous historic, beautiful building that keeps details of the old monastery. The chapel (inside of the hotel) is very beautiful. We really liked the good location, just 10 minutes walking from the city centre, the clean, quiet, spacious and modern room with comfortable beds. Coffee machine in room. Bathroom well equipped with lovely hot showers. The friendly staff and the possibility to use the internal hotel parking during our stay. We had early check-in for free (Monday around midday). The breakfast was also very good and tasty, even better than I expected, the breads with natural fermentation, the fig bread is unforgettable! They offered us champagne (brut) after breakfast, we enjoyed it very much! I would recommend and stay there again.

We were assigned a room located on the 2nd floor (Sint Antonius), but that part of the hotel does not have a lift and the stairs are winding as it is an old building. Not very easy if you have check in baggage and you have to lug up and down the stairs to your room. No one helped us. The bar does not have personnel, so you need to ask the receptionist to order drinks, the lights were off, and nobody was in the bar.

I really enjoyed the relaxed feeling in the hotel. The place is so quirky and cool. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We had a deluxe room with a coffee machine a kettle coffee pods tea bags. The room was huge. The windows were beautiful with old fashioned original shutters. The best part for me was the garden.Having breakfast surrounded by Beautiful trees. Trying some local beers in the garden on a lovely warm evening. It's one my favourite hotels to have ever stayed in. 5 minute walk into the city. It really has a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to the lovely staff who were always helpful and smiling.

We couldn't dislike anything. The place is too special .

Lovely big family room, with a separate bedroom for the kids and a balcony/terrace.. Nicely appointed and furnished, we had a very comfortable couple of nights. Our room was very modern but the hotel itself, having been a monastery, was very atmospheric and full of points of interest. The deconsecrated church is a really different place to have a drink... The location is great - ten minutes walk from the centre and only a couple of minutes from lots of shops, bars and restaurants, but on a quiet street. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had a great stay and hope to be back.

The car park could be cheaper but that's a minor quibble.

This hotel is pretty new and modern which beautifully works with the old and church-like setting, as it is not made old, but has its own history. The breakfast takes place in the old church, which is worth a visit itself, although the food there is really good and one of the best breakfasts we´ve ever enjoyed. The rooms are wonderfully quiet as the walls are very thick and even though it was fully booked, we were able to enjoy our quiet nights. Due to its location we were able to walk everywhere we wanted, regardless if it was shopping, restaurants, bars or the Noord Docks.

The parking situation was good, albeit expensive. But not neccessarily more expensive than elsewhere.

We love a quirky hotel. Amazing experience to stay in an old monastery. We stayed in a superior family room with air con. One double bed with two twins with a wall divider. We were based in the garden courtyard. So quiet. Air con worked really well considering it was 32 degrees. Very clean and comfortable. Was disappointed to find bar, that was situated in the old church part of the momentary was closed when we got back. It said open 5-11pm. Maybe because it was a Sunday. Five/ten minute walk to main part of town. Parking was easy.

The room was superb, quite large and comfy with a large bathroom with bathtub and shower. The location was also good very close to the theater of Ghent and seemed a nice neighborhood.

The client service was awful, There was only one person in the reception in order to facilitate all the guest and as a result we had every time to wait two or three clients ahead. There was absolutely none recommendation or aid about where to park the car what to visit or to do in the city. Please mind there that information like that are useful when someone visits the city for first time by car.. P.S. the parking of the hotel was full and the operator could not provide as with information whether we could park there at some point or not..

Our stay was pleasant. Staff at the entrance was very helpful. The decor is minimalist and pleasant. I thought the location was central and quiet - an excellent retreat after a busy day exploring. Good tram connections nearby. It appears that parking is also available (even with e-charging). Excellent location from which to cycle around town.

There was no handsoap in the bath when we arrived, but on the third day, some was placed there. Sadly, the buffet breakfast was a bit too expensive for us, so we didn't try it. For my personal preference, the pillow was quite uncomfortable (thick and hard, straining my neck). I ended up wrapping a smaller, decorative pillow in the pillow case, but this was also not comfortable.
