Rooms were beautiful and location excellent

Something needs to be included with the booking to bring customers attention - if driving then they have to fill out a report to the police for the parking and staying in an emissions free zone. if my husband had noticed a street sign referring to the zoning then he would not have asked the reception and would have been fined.

Beautiful, spacious room. Comfortable bed and bedding. Extremely friendly and attentive staff gave great recommendations for sightseeing and meals. The chocolate they leave in your bedroom is incredible. We had the pleasure of speaking with the person who buys the chocolate for the hotel and he told us a wonderful story about him and his wife, where they get the chocolate, how they used to package it by hand. He even went out of his way to get us extra. These small details and experiences make all the difference. Also, the pool and sauna were such a treat and the end of a long day of sightseeing.

Everything was to like about this beautiful hotel, with profesisonal and caring staff, perfect location and excellent facilities. This is truly a hotel I would visit again and again. The breakfast was top notch, staff never said no for anything to accommodate us and our kids. Its a great place to explore the whole of belgium and of course the beautiful and charming city of Ghent.

The only small point of improvement would be that the breakfast staff did at times seem to be a bit over worked during the morning rush, although they tried their best, but I think the breakfast was a bit understaffed.

This is a really great place for a long weekend. modern facilities, comfy bed with great bedlinen, big and comfortable bathroom and a yummy breakfast. Staff was so welcoming and helpful, we had a few minor issues, which they handled so professionally and so well. this is truly showing the high level of hotel and hospitality. we also used this chain in Zwolle, in NL and it’s a consistent great quality of service and establishment.

we originally stayed in a room on the first floor facing the road, which was too noisy and with poor wifi connection. we asked for an alternative room the next day and moved to the third floor which was way better! so if you have an option, request the higher floor

The atmosphere is relaxing, the rooms are well thought to create a nice restful environment. The amenities are also in line with the concept. The bistrot is pleasant and with a nice outdoor space.

I was a little surprised by the noise of the A/C system in my room. And the room I was in was not spacious, but considering it is an historical building I can understand the difficulty. Breakfast is a little pricey for what it is offered: there is no on demand service of any kind (eggs station or pancakes station etc ...). I also was not super fan of the personal care products that felt a little low quality in use.

Great room, consistent friendly service by the staff. The hotel's common areas (lobby, breakfast room, library, grand staircase) are very stately, yet welcoming. We happened to be there during the busy Gentse Feesten, and although the hotel is really in the city centre and just a short walk away from the main places, the hotel was an oasis of calm and peace. The breakfast was our stay's highlight - superb choice, varied, of high quality - one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had, and I've been to quite some in the past.

Very nice rooms, clean and modern.

Parking and breakfast are very expensive. Good underground parking. We didn't take the breakfast offer. Tea at the bar came with a very large teabag and only half a reality of water, which meant that the teas stewed in a few minutes. I asked for more water and got about 2 tablespoons added to the teapot. I could not be bothered to ask for more. You just know when the staff disapproves of a request. A very low point in our stay. Every other member of staff was excellent. Thanks

the interior is great, rooms and bathroom furnishings very good. comfortable bed. we order room service and food was very good as well. staff is very friendly and efficient. I had some issues with Expedia bookings and they helped to resolve it.

the hotel uses mini iPad to manage services. it did not work very well, I could not order food as it kept giving error message, but when I called, they said I ordered twice. same was to request removal of the plates. it is minor, but for hotel of that quality, it should work better. SPA was a bit of disappointment. we went in the evening so may be the services were closed, but there was just small swimming pool with strangely designed jacuzzi. there was no water bowl and ladle in the sauna, so to add temperature we had to use water bottle. so some final touches that needs to be sorted.

The staff at Pillows were incredible; they made my stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast spread was quite nice, although there wasn't a lot of warm options for vegetarians, the coffee was the best! The property is worth exploring and is quite central so if you are a tourist in Gent for 2-3 days, I will highly recommend this property.

My room did not have an iPad like the rest of the rooms so I had to call the reception every time I had a question about room services or spa services. I found the pool a bit smaller for the summers but it would be great during the winters.

We stayed in the presidential suite and it was absolutely amazing. We were given champagne and we ordered room service for the morning breakfast and it was so good! They don't tell you that parking your car in their garage does cost extra on the website, we found out after we got there. They did take our car for us to the garage so we could go check in and not get a parking ticket since they only have 2 unloading zoned spaces in front of the hotel. They were really wonderful telling us about all the amenities and the only time we ever heard from another guest was when they were using the private lift. The food at the restaurants looks amazing, however we didn't eat there because our kids wouldn't have liked anything, but if we are ever in Ghent again on our own we will definitely book again and go to the restaurant.

Some people do smoke right outside the hotel lobby doors and since I have asthma it can be a bit bothersome but it's really such a small thing to complain about.
