Location location location. Perfect distance from Brussels and excellent road links to Ghent and Antwerp. Great surroundings and an easy walk to good restaurants, along with a nice lake walk. Staff were friendly and on the whole very competent. Breakfast was good.

Not easy access to the SPA, as it is part of a membership club so you need to book access. Spa is a little run down even though there is an excellent roof top terrace. Hotel itself is also a little run down, even though our room was just above OK, there were marks on the carpet, and a very poorly patched and painted over repair to the wall. Curtain issues with closing that was not rectified during our stay and a broken sink plug that was reported on day 1 of our stay and not repaired until the evening before our departure the next day. This was very very poor. I believe that the slightly poor finishing to our room was potentially due to us having our Yorkshire terrier with us? As this is probably a room they regularly give to people who travel with their dog.

Room & bed were very comfortable which with the air conditioning was just what we needed after our drive from Amsterdam ferry port & the nearby windmills on a very hot day. The hotel overlooks a small lake, is peaceful & only a short drive to the Waterloo battlefield. Breakfast on the balcony was a lovely setting & seemed like a bonus.

We were tired when we arrived at 5.00 pm or so & had a relatively short wait for our room which should have been ready over an hour before. There was a big wedding reception that evening which may explain the delay & as it turned out the missing bath towels & shampoos etc.

Despite my earlier booking from 4th March till 10th March, done in Dec 2022, when request was made in Feb to bring down the stay duration from 4th March till 8th March, I was asked to cancel ticket and do fresh reservation despite modify date option was available, which did not worked. As a result I ended up paying extra for last minute booking. This could have been handled in a more proficient manner, as I wasn't expecting this. When this concern was raised to hotel staff, they said it's booking.com who need to address this. Really a bad experience in this front.

the Location is really nice from the outside and also direct at the lake which makes it special. The service is also really good and the people who work there are doing a good job, great customer service.

we paid for one hour “Wellness“ additionaly 35€. it would make sense to increase the rate for the room and include the Wellness directly. Breakfast is really not good at all and not suitable for a 5 Star Hotel. juice from a machine like in an all inclusive hotel, no nice decoration of the food (everything in plastic boxes), not a Big choice of cold cuts…

The hotel place in front of the lake The welcome smile of the team The size or the room with view on the lake The break fast with many choices of food (good quality)

Must pay for the swimming pool ...in a 5 stars ???? just boring and not precise on booking Cleaning leaving something to be desired dead fly when we arrived behind the curtains (vacuum cleaner passed quickly) Not real orange juice ...in a 5 stars ????

The staff were all amazing. Reception, restaurant, bar, housekeeping, all were professional and super friendly to our toddler.

A few details. We stayed in 203 and the bathroom was renovated and generally looking pretty slick, but the bathroom door and doorframe had suffered water damage some time ago and not repaired. The baby bed I requested was waiting for us in the room which was very nice, but there are no other facilities for little people, which in winter was a bit of a hurdle. Admittedly the general vibe is business and conference, but a small play area somewhere would have been greatly appreciated.

Beautiful location. Tucked away it has the feeling of a resort but is only 10 mins off the busy motorway. Rooms very spacious with excellent fittings

Breakfast was only average with some items having run out and were not replaced. I was promised help parking and securing my motorcycle but the doorman had no interest in helping me and looked at me suspiciously which made me uncomfortable. I think had I paid him personally he may have smiled. Reluctantly.

Not sure, could not use facilieties I expected for. My valuation is neutral.

I actually booked this hotel after long road trip in france, just for main reason use Spa facilieties in full and have nice dinner at the hotel. Neither both were able to get as swiming pool closes early, dinner at the reataurant is mission impossible with getting a seat. If are there for these things, clarify with the staff long before your stay for availability...

The location is amazing; renovated rooms, cozy and nice! The front desk is very welcoming and they help you with everything you need.

The common spaces are a bit outdated and the restaurant is not for sure not a 5* one; food is basic and not a lot of options;

I loved the location. The exterior entrance of the hotel is pleasing. Other than checking in and out, only staff interface was the annoying entry of bedroom cleaning staff three times, despite us being well within check-out time. Self-service breakfast was also lacking a human touch.

I was disappointed in the detail. The room was clean but rather worn; woodwork was chipped and parts of appliances were missing. Felt as if I had booked a utility business stopover instead of a charming night away from home.
