The property managers were great and we loved that there was a cafe right next to our room. The rooms were always cleaned when we returned even if we went out for a short time. The location was perfect near the water, restaurants and bars. We even had the pleasure of witnessing a wedding that the hotel hosted. Our stay at this hotel made our visit so pleasurable that every time we return to San Pedro we will be staying at Hotel Del Rio.

There was no complaints from me and my husband.

Great place! Staff was super nice and helpful, giving recommendations and suggestions. Hotel had a great location, walkable everywhere, restaurants and bars, and right across from the water. Room was comfortable, had AC and fridge, and was cleaned everyday in the morning. Had a nice sitting area outside with tables, chairs and swings to chill. Also there was security all night. Will come back for sure!

Missing some amenities like a safe box or iron, but didn't ruin the experience.

- Finally a comfortable bed! This was the only place I stayed at in Belize where the beds were not too hard. - All staff were very friendly and exceedingly helpful, and always willing to advise and assist with whatever I needed. - Location is close to the city center but not directly in it. Instead it is close to the beach, which means it is quiet while still being walking distance to many nice restaurants, bars, stores and other services.

- I got a regular (brick) room, rather than a cabana. I'm sure that is in line with what I booked, but somehow I had expected every room to be a cabana. But that's probably a mistake on my part. - A small window in my room did not have a curtain, and the streetlight just outside the window meant my room was not very dark at night.

The Manager, Christine, is very knowledgeable and helpful. The employees of the hotel are very nice. The cleaning ladies had put flowers every day in our room. Thank you very much! We enjoyed very much. Sue

The smell! One side of the sea shore is filled up with the sea grass. The sea grass was cumulated alone the sea shore and fermented, which made terrible smell. It was impossible to swim. I was told this bad smell started in 2015 and it getting worse. I really hope they could get rid of this terrible smell. Sue

Christine & Gricela made my stay completely unforgettable. They know perfectly how to treat their guests. I only have good words for them: they advise me with the transportation before reaching the hotel, they help me to book several snorkeling activities (not easy being just one person) and much more small details (local spots, room upgrade, beach towel provided, complimentary water...). Always with a smile in their faces, and leaving whatever they were doing to attend me. I felt like being a home, treated as a king

Wonderful staff; so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were. And everything was spotlessly clean. The location was great: right across from the water, close to town and yet private. We would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend to others who want a very friendly, very clean, economical traditional lodging.

Our unit didn't have air conditioning. Fans and the ocean breeze kept us cool (even chilly at times!), but the open windows also made it a little noisy, especially from a dog that barked at night.

So quaint. You could tell they take pride in their property and business. Little coffee shop right on property. Great location! Just a small dirt road between the property and the Caribbean water, with unobstructed view. Out of "town" but still easy walking distance (and I mean really easy!) to restaurants, bars, massage, etc. Felt like a family member visiting rather than a hotel guest. Looking forward to returning!

The staff at Hotel del Rio was superb. Chris in particular was phenomenal, helpful and welcoming. She was so knowledgeable about the island and activities. She was able to check on snorkeling tours, golf cart rentals and other adventures. She went our of her way to make our trip more enjoyable. She also booked us into a quiet room on our request. The palapa area outside reception was a great place in which to hang out. They had a cafe on the premises.

It was all great.

Such a great place to stay! Staff was welcoming and friendly. Great folks to talk to. I loved how close it was to the water. Best of all was the fact that even though it was only a very short distance away, it was so much less congested than "downtown." Added bonus--bakery, Roadrunner and Arabella's right around the corner.

We got in late, but they where very accommodating. The view was amazing! Looked right out into the Caribbean Sea and the reef! Every day they came and cleaned the room, made the beds. Everyone was so friendly!

I don't have anything I didn't like. It meet all of our expectations. It's a little worn around the edges, but what do you expect?
