Best Western PLUS Burnaby Hotel

Honestly for Vancouver standards, I think it was a good value. For American standards- no. Location wasn’t bad if you have a car, it’s 30-40 min to the center, 10 min to Walmart and train. We didn’t mind the drive. If you don’t have a car, don’t stay here, pay more and stay more central. Breakfast was good. Again, decent for American standards, but I know how much food we waste in the states, so it was good. You get coupons for breakfast. I want to thank staff for being kind and helpful. We didn’t have any Canadian cash on us and they helped me out by exchanging money with me so I could use laundry. It was so much needed for me and I was so appreciative. As far as local walking distance eateries, there are a few Asian places, Denny’s, 7-11.

Room was overall clean but honestly feels old. It just needs a remodel. Sofa is absolutely horrible. I felt so bad for my kids. I wanted another room with 2 beds instead of 1 and a sofa but unfortunately it wasn’t available. If I had to sleep on the sofa instead of kids, I would have looked for another hotel. Location. Unfortunately, we cannot afford central Vancouver during peak tourism season, cannot pay $400 a night, so I guess I got what I paid for.

The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom comes with a fluorescent heat lamp so that you can dry your clothes on the hanger in the bathroom. There are coin-operated laundry machines too. Breakfast was superb with self-help pancake making machine. Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. Chambermaid was polite. The promixity to eateries are just 5 minutes walk and about 10 minutes walk to Royal Oak station.

A little far away from airport though, there is no free shuttle service provided to get to this hotel. We were assigned to the room at 2nd floor of the hotel and there was no elevator, hence it was a little bit effort required to bring up the heavy luggages.

Staff were outstanding, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, good variety and staff available for assistance. Laundry room with everything available via vending machine. Staff were able to provide necessary change required for machines. Pool available. Great location with public transport easy to access. Toiletries, hairdryer & coffee machine/ kettle available for guest use.

The room was dark, no view as facing a wall.

The flat was spacious with an old-fashioned interior. It offered good value for the money and had all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. The personnel was friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, the flat served its purpose and met our needs for the duration of our stay.

The room had limited natural light, giving it a somewhat subdued ambiance. It's important to note that this is a budget-friendly hotel, so while it offers solid value, it doesn't boast luxury or high-end amenities.

The bed was comfortable. Ready to locate and the taxis knew the hotel easily. A fairly quick drive to Gastown or Granville Island. Front desk was professional--but not friendly at all.

The "business center" had one computer that connects to the printer. The other two computers were slow as snails (virus? Or just dogs?). We tried to print luggage tags for our next trip leg, and when they would not, the front desk didn't offer any sort of help. (Would it kill them to help?)

My two children and I spent one night here for a wedding at a nearby golf club along with 4 other families. The hotel was very reasonable for the location, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness and breakfast. Metrotown mall is a 5 minute drive including parking. Fantastic staff here! We asked for an early check-in and they were incredibly kind and helpful and did what they could to help us. From front desk to chambermaids to breakfast staff, always a smile and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of seating for all of us, unlike some places that include breakfast but only have seating for 15 people. Clean and comfortable rooms. I'd definitely stay here again.

I can't complain about anything regarding this property. There wasn't an elevator on the side we stayed in. Wasn't an issue for our family but you want to make sure you have a ground floor if there's mobility issues or troubles carrying bags/suitcases up the stairs. Parking is available right outside the room doors which was very handy. I think the other side of the hotel had rooms with an elevator? Just check when booking.

Thr rooms were very clean, The breakfast was amazing! Love a hot meal before continuing on the journey!! The hotel was quiet at night., however you could the sirens from. The road. The staff were very polite and very accommodating.

No microwave in the room The Pop vending machine didn't take my coins, I tried to buy a pop but the machine didn't like the coins. They kept falling through. The noise at night from the highway, I could hear sirens at 3-5am..other than that it was quiet

Room was very clean and bed extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast was better than expected and a good selection of hot and cold food even fresh fruit. We arrived later than expected but the receptionist was extremely welcoming and efficient and gave us some water bottles knowing we had been travelling for a long time and was going straight to sleep. Location was out of the city but transportation links are cheap and easy to use and only a short walk away. You can be in Downtown Vancover in 30 mins by Sky train. There are a good selection of restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.

The person at reception, Aruna Singh greeted us with a warm smile and was very welcoming. Since we arrived around 10 pm she also told us where we could find something to eat. This was very helpful. She had lots of information to share and we felt so at home. We enjoyed the coffee at the lobby. Breakfast provided was reasonable too. There were some warm dishes and some cold.

The walk up the stairs with bags can be quite daunting even though it was just one floor.

Great location if your visiting Metrotown. Just a 25 min drive to downtown Vancouver. Free parking and complimentary breakfast. For dinner there is a White Spot across the street, and Cactus Club and Earls are close by. So is the Superstore Wharehouse for snacks ;) Mcdonalds is just 3 minutes drive down the road if you have little ones :)

The bed was a little hard for my comfort, but if you like a firm or medium firm mattress it would suit you fine. Decent options for breakfast, but hashbrowns and eggs cold and butter too hard to spread. This nitpicking though, there is a microwave available.
