I have stayed at this property several times as a family member lives in Chemainus. The staff is generally friendly and the breakfast and pool is great.

I really like this property but there was an odd situation over breakfast and non allowance over visitors. I gave stayed at 2 other Best Westerns this summer and had the option to pay for an additional breakfast. It seems odd not to make an exception for guests if they are visiting a local and wish to invite that person to join (and pay) for breakfast. I realize the hotel might not want to become a breakfast spot, but this kind of exception should be made, particularly for a local resident.

Really spacious suite with super comfy beds and well appointed kitchen, including a pod coffee machine. We got complimentary cookies when we arrived, and the staff were super accommodating helping us store our bicycles. Really exceeded our expectations!

This is a minor thing but the hot tub is not very big- max 5 people at a time. Considering the size of the hotel, I expected a 6-8 person hot tub.

Excellent breakfast. Convenient location, Nice rooms. Helpful and responsive staff.

The room we were assigned smelled like previous guests had had animals. We requested a change to room assignment, and the staff responded quickly and politely. Although the reservation was for 3 adults, the room was only outfitted for 2 guests. We had to request additional towels, etc. The soaps and shampoos in the bathtub containers were not full/ran out, and we had to ask for refills late in the evening. Then, when the sofa couch was opened, it became evident that the sheets had not been changed. Had to request new linens and made the bed ourselves.

From the time we arrived to the time we left staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room exceeded our expectations for a wide assortment of hot and cold breakfast options including a regular size Belgian waffle maker and a mini Belgian waffle maker which a kind staff member also patiently coached me through using when they noticed I was having difficulty. One of the best hotel beds I've slept in which is high praise as I have back injuries which yelp without a decent bed. Standard king room was exceptionally large even with a king size bed still very roomy. We left some clothing behind and were quickly contacted with 30 minutes of check out so we're able to zip back and grab the items before leaving town. Also any hotel that offers fresh cookies on arrival has my vote any day 🍪.

The property was bright, clean and very updated. The TV was on the older side , however we did not watch much of it. Breakfast was good started at 7:00AM , later then most hotels (6:00am) but I would stay again and also recommend it.

Older TV in the unit. Staff often were smoking at the entrance way where cars unloaded.This was, in my opinion, the worst part of the hotel.

Really lovely super-comfortable hotel. A bit pricier than what we usually allow ourselves but good for a bit of luxury now and then. Nice light and spacious feel to the hotel generally,and we loved our room with delightful sitting area and an unusual feature: enclosed space for the bed. Lovely friendly staff on reception. Breakfast was one of the best we have encountered in recent times. Staff also gave us gluten-free waffles and bread upon our request.

The customer service was outstanding. The buffet breakfast was tasty. Nice pool. I was in a corner queen suite with balcony. Lovely. I slept on the sofa-bed, surprisingly comfortable.

The towels were a little small. Robes or bigger towels would be nice. There is only one shower in the ladies change room in the pool. Makes it difficult for everyone to shower if a group comes in. Many guests did not shower before getting into the pool.

Staff are warm and friendly and they answer queries professionally. Really liked that. Even greeting the staff in the hallways was a wonderfully pleasant experience. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff who keep the buffet replenished are so lovely.

The elevator was super slow and only one, so when the hotel is busy you can wait for a while.

Breakfast was wonderful and ample with many good choices including waffles! Hot chocolate chip cookies were a delightful bonus. Staff was eager to help and to make sure we were satisfied. Everything was in excellent condition. We could not ask for better. This hotel is close to the new Malahat Skywalk.

I have stayed at the Chemainus Inn several times now, and I am always very happy with the hotel. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to help if needed. Breakfast is super and offers a lot. I love that this hotel has a pool and hot tub. Overall, I will only stay at this location and look forward to the next stay.

Maybe some veggies with breakfast?
