It was a nice clean motel, with a comfortable bed and a staff that was always willing to help out. Though on the highway inside it was quiet and though not the brightest space there were nice amenities like the kitchenet, locally sourced coffee, tv and a shower with really great water pressure would definitely recommend it.

There was limited natural light, the floor in the washroom seemed to accumulate water very easily and there weren't any sidewalks around the motel until you walk into Chemainus, so you end up walking next to the road.

Wow to be honest before arriving I had read some reviews on another website and they almost put us off staying here. We were very pleasantly surprised. Yes the property is older but it is an old style highway motel. The room was very clean, updated decor, comfy beds and air conditioning. We didn't hear any highway noise at all and the check in staff was chatty and friendly. Don't miss this value gem because of some poor reviews. I would stay here again and recommend this motel.

The door to the room stuck, so you had to use force to open and close it. No electric kettle for making tea - couldn't get the coffeemaker to work. The name of the motel (Fuller Lake) set up expectations of being beside a lake, which turned out to be across the TransCanada Highway that the motel was next to, and having no close access.

Because of staffing issues the owner was held up and told us on the phone that he couldn’t come to check us in when we arrived at check-in time. He gave us the option of a refund, but we decided to wait. When he did arrive he again was very apologetic and generously upgraded our room plus paid most of the taxes. We didn’t expect that!

Staff went out of their way to assist me with an unplanned package delivery. Room was recently remodeled. Restaurant right next door. A pleasant, “old school” motel.

There is a bit of road traffic noise-during daytime hours. Not the hotels fault, but not a problem at night.

I liked the big yard area. management was nice . I have to say the outside dosent match the inside. I started worrying about the room when I saw the outside so checked with the manager before hand . there is a mixture it seems of permanent residents as well as travellers.

no ice machine. outside outa match inside . if I pulled in without having a reservation I probably would take a look and go nope. as it turned out the room was very nice and comfy.

They took 150 money for damage deposit And promised to return back Didn't see in my bank account Every time I call them, they don't answer I traveled today all the way from Nanaimo, and nobody was there. I think I lost my deposit

Breakfast at the Hide A Way???? Delicious, filling and great way to start the day. Had Dinner as well and was also very good. Friendly staff as well. Enjoyed the outside grass area for setting and just chatting rather being in the room.

For us, there was nothing we didn't like. Comfort, friendliness, very professional and accommodating.

Wonderful customer service! Felt like I was staying at a friends house, they were so accommodating and kind. Room was small but clean, and everything worked properly. The location was a bit far from town, but near a gas station and antique store so I didn't feel isolated. Only a 30 minute walk to Chemainus, and a 45 minute walk to the ferry to Thetis Island. Lots to do if you don't mind a bit of walking or have access to a car. Price was fair, would for sure stay again!

Very nice for my dog ! Lots of places to sit , full sun or shade ! Great location ! Really easy to get into the place and out !

The one older man that was staying and came out onto the lawn and scared my dog on purpose ! Not Cool!!
