The breakfast was really nice...fruit, yogurt, cereals and baked goods. There was an air conditioner in the room which we greatly appreciated. There was a beautiful space outdoors in the back yard. The space was very clean with good parking and close to the ferry terminal

Generally there is tea and coffee, water or other drinks available, which there weren't, or were not offered in this B and B. The bed was comfortable but the bedding was not very soft. We didn't love having a bathroom that was not attached to the room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was well-presented, clean, comfortable and with excellent facilities. The host was extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing. More than ample choice of fresh fruits, homemade granola and muesli, various types of bread to eat fresh or toasted and croissants. And finally, eggs cooked any way you like fresh from the host's own chickens. Anyone looking for a stay in Nanaimo this is the place to come!

Anthea, the owner, was absolutely welcoming to my dog Kaya and I. Her home is inviting and well maintained. Cleanliness is a priority and the room was quaint and very comfortable. She is an excellent chef and her place setting was so sweet and carefully thought out. Her two dogs Bella and Daisy were adorable and added to my dogs love for our stay. Her garden is peaceful and I enjoyed resting after traveling for so long in the serenity of it. Anthea is kind, a great conversationalist and ensured my stay was the best experience possible; checking in with me to see whether I needed anything and was content. I will definitely recommend a stay at Campbell Cottage B and B.

It was nice and central for walking to restaurants and parking was good. The cottage was very clean and our hostess was very friendly. Once the dogs get to know you a bit they aren't so barky, which to be honest was a bit of a concern in the beginning. The water feature outside our window was lovely and we had the window open at night to hear it. Loved the sounds of the chicken in the backyard too. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, the hostess went out of her way to make an iced coffee for you husband!

The only thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was the fact that the bathroom was not an ensuite. You had to go out of your room into the main house to get to the bathroom. It was dedicated to us, but felt a bit weird.

Our stay at the Campbell Cottage was a treat from beginning to end. Anthea, our host, is a gem. From the first time we walked in the door and met her and her dogs, I immediately asked where the aloof cat was she had mentioned in her email to us, telling her no cat will last long being aloof with me. Within an hour I had Kitty Stella licking my hands and purring like there is no tomorrow. Anthea’s home is lovely, and the guest room and bath were so well appointed it felt so much like home. We had a lovely visit with her in her living room during the evening, with much jovial and fun conversation. As we were very tired from our trip, we retired early to our room, and slept the best we have in years. The next morning we were greeted with sweet good mornings from Anthea, and puppy dog barks, all seeming to enjoy seeing us in the new day. Anthea prepared an unbelievable breakfast spread for us, with beautiful serving plates and dishes and treats galore! When asked if we wanted eggs, my partner jumped at that. She offered many different ways she could prepare them and Don chose poached. As Anthea had just returned from the chicken coop with fresh eggs, she beautifully prepared the eggs, the best poached eggs Don had ever had. After sitting together at the table and enjoying more fun chats, we had to be on our way. Upon leaving, the puppies were barking and we were all hugging, knowing we had just spent a lovely time together. Thank you Althea! You love what you do and you do it well! Lucinda and Don

We had been living in hotels for some days and decided a break was in order - we choose to stay at Campbells Cottage because of the garden outlook, the mention of hens, and the owners dogs and cat. It was a welcomed enclave of reality and our host/owner Anthea was so helpful. It was also nice to chat with one of the locals to gain another perspective of Canada. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet and the adjoining bathroom was clean with very good water pressure. The central heating was also comfortable. The breakfast provided by Anthea was sumptuous - lots of natural ingredients and of course fresh eggs!. We left well rested, well fed and all the better for our cottage experience. Anthea offered to store our bags whilst we visited the township of Nanaimo and collected our rental vehicle from Budge Rental only two blocks away from the Cottage.

The property was perfectly located for the old town of Nanaimo and the seafront. The host (Anthea) was rather special. It is clear that she absolutely loves hosting. She was a mind of information about where to eat in Nanaimo and also about the rest of the Island. She couldn’t have been more helpful.

Breakfast was outstanding! I enjoyed a lot. The owner was very friendly. The bed in the room was excellent. Welcome chocolates and candies were very lovely. The bathroom for the guest was probably recently rennovated and it was very clean. I was told to use another room for study other than a bedroom, which helped me to work.

Anthea is an amazing Host, so welcoming, made us feel right at home. The room was super clean, bed was very comfy. It was a lovely surprise to find a cupboard stocked with plates, cups, glasses, and kettle. We were able to have an instant coffee in the room. Be sure to take the time in the morning for the incredible breakfast. We will be back.

The breakfast was the best I had in my 6 weeks travelling in Canada. The room is very quiet to the back garden with chicken. Anthea is a very friendly host, who tried to help me with everything. The rooms are very nicely decorated. Nanaimo is in a short walking distance.
