The location was amazing! My daughter and I stayed for a much needed girls' weekend. We had a room overlooking the lake. The trolley stopped right at the resort and took us all the way down to the park and the bridge. We rented kayaks two mornings of our stay right at the docks in front of the resort. The on-site restaurant was perfect! We ate there twice.

The resort was in the process of updating but it didn't really bother us at all.

Very clean, lakeside hotel. it was generally nice and quiet from traffic or outside noise. The staff were great and accommodating and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. the view from our balcony was directly onto the marina, lake and Pulpit Rock on the opposite side. spectacular view. This hotel is lakeside and not in the core of downtown area. There is a walk to get into downtown. While it’s only a few blocks away it is uphill (or up a few flights of stairs) depending on which way you walk. This was not a problem for us but if you’re at all concerned about that be aware.

Having a hard time coming up with a negative. I guess the on-site restaurant was terribly understaffed for the breakfast we tried on our departure day. The food was okay but there was only one person to handle all the service. There were plenty of other great local restaurants that we recommend anyway.

location was amazing! nice restaurant! Friendly check in staff friendly with us and our baby. Comfortable beds Great food and service for the most part

Rooms a little dated for the price we paid. bathrooms had old wallpaper peeling off, and rooms could do with a lick of paint. Restaurant/bar closed at 9pm sun-Thursday which we though was very early for peak time middle of summer. One member of the breakfast staff was particularly rude and unfriendly, they were short staffed but the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. We noticed jobs being done while we were there, such as replacement deck furniture and fountain cleaning which was great that they are proactive. So we hope it’s a case of ‘work in progress’ and the above issues will be resolved.

everything already noted- we loved it!

The restaurant needs to be prioritized for staffing. It’s so wonderful to sit by the water steps from your hotel room- but they were so understaffed, the wait time was unreasonable and the food was marginal. They were so sweet- and it was clear they were hustling- and so many places are short workers- we do understand. But- if staff could be prioritized there, it would literally be the most ideal stay there by the lake. Lastly- on the topic of the restaurant, there was a young, Asian waiter there each day and we watched him handle a large group of drunk, rude men with such grace and patience. He should be commended!

Location was excellent. Right in front of the Lake and next to a mall (which was not noisy)! Within walking distance of the main street (Baker Street) of town. There was also a delightful old fashioned Tram which went from the Hotel to Lakeside Park. Big sandy beach! Lake is clean and fresh...on the cool side. We took advantage of the indoor pool, which was great. Can't beat the beauty of the Kootenay area!

The hot tub was out of order. And of course due to the Covid a shortage of staff which is happening everywhere! But we were not affected by it.

The eggs Benny was awesome. Switch rooms from the bottom floor to the 2nd, which was much quieter. Nice room. Staff were great!

Bottom floor room we had the first night, with open shower, leaked all over the bathroom floor, didn't go into the drain, happened to my husband too. Had to mop it all up again. Fridge wasn't that cold. Too much light coming in for me unfortunately while sleeping. It was better on the 2nd floor though.

Very clean, modern, no carpet, full kitchen, excellent service and staff. Quiet. Din’t hear a peep at night! Right across from the beautiful Skaha Lake. Excellent VALUE. What more could you ask for??

The only thing I would change is a couple light bulbs in living room from fluorescent bright white to warmer relaxing light. otherwise, this place is perfect and exceeded expectations. very comfy bed and sofa bed.

the view was great the beds and pillows were very comfortable

there was a dead stink bug floating in the pool and the balcony had several spiders hanging from the roof making it to uncomfortable to sit outside. there was a spider in the window, behind the tv, and a stink bug in our room. my daughter had a hard time not feeling like bugs were crawling on her in bed. I understand you hat there will be spider outside, however the webs were well established so obviously no one sweeps out there or tries to remove them.

We loved the location, short walk into town, great parking, very accommodating, friendly staff.

Well we had some rain, good thing as it was pretty dry in the area plus it helped with the fire smoke, no worries didn't stop us from getting out and about, aren't we lucky NO one can control the weather.

We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning. Staff were very pleasant and food was quite good. Desk staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to provide any assistance needed. Room was so quiet and spacious and the lake and mountain view from our 3rd floor room was just breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave!

Only one odd thing - the bathroom plumbing made strange rattling and gurgling noises sometimes. Not really bothersome. We thought perhaps it was incorrectly vented and would be fixable.
