The Valley Star has everything you need for a great stay in Penticton. The facilities are clean & comfortable. The motel is run by a very fun & outgoing family-they were extremely welcoming & readily accommodated our requests (including the odd ones such as using their duct tape so we could strap our unicorn lake floatie to the roof of our car!). & even after a full day spent swimming at the lake, it's great to cap the evening off w/ a dip in the pool, so that is a great perk. Would definitely stay again.

I was upgraded to a Queen with a kitchenette, and it was very handy! The room was very quiet, absolutely spotless, and very charming. You cannot beat the location, and the price compared to similar properties in the area! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Penticton, especially if they don't want to stay downtown, but still want to be close to a lake.

The only things I found missing when I chose to eat in my room (actually on the lovely front "porch") was a small knife like a paring knife ... even a steak knife would have been good. There were only two regular dinner knives and a butcher knife which was too big for my needs. But that is such a minor detail ... everything else was absolutely perfect! :)

I loved everything about this location. The lake is right around the corner from the motel. The atmosphere was so fun and inviting, anyone would have a great time at this beautiful little place. The owner was so friendly and greeted us with a great big smile. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with some fellow visitors, and learning they return each year and have for 15 years because of the atmosphere and the owners :)

I had everything I needed...bed, kitchenette, utensils, hot plate, enough hangers, TV and a power bar for all my plug in items. The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Check in was pleasant, informative and efficient, everyrhing well explained. There was no cleaning service because of covid, but I did notice the room next to me was cleaned while the customer was still occupying the room. He left the room so it could be cleaned. There was a table and chairs outside the room. Location was close to the beach and on one of the main stredts of Penticton, close to stores, restaurants, etc..I would definitely stay again. Great value.

I stay here a few times a year for work. The owner is the nicest, most accommodating person. Unlike flea bag motels in interior British Columbia she keeps all the units clean and updated. You won't find a better value in Penticton.

Beautifully decorated and spotless. Quaint and super comfortable. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! Real mugs for coffee and glass wine glasses in the room. Good size fridge. Blackout curtains. Loved everything about this motel.

Great location, well furnished room, great customer service

Bed was firmer than I'm used to, floors are cold so a carpet runner between the beds would be nice. Also, there is minimal storage/counterspace in the bathroom to hold your toiletries.

Got an upgrade and the pool was open lovely warm evening was given the key to the laundry and got our washing done when the tv would not work the manager came and gave us a new remote and calibrated it for us great service in the evening Skhana Pizza across the road was good

We were impressed by the quiet air conditioner in the room which was most effective. Great to have use of a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker during our stay.
