Perfect hotel for the one night stayover in Prince George on the VIA Rail train from Jasper to Prince Rupert. The room was clean, spacious, and well organized with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine replete with K Cups from Tim Hortons [how much more Canadian can you get]. The lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes for breakfast were amazing! This hotel was the most affordable hotel stay I had on my recent visit to Western Canada. Also, notwithstanding the extensive smoke from the massive forest fires outside, the room had no smell of smoke and I had a great night of sleep. Highly Recommend! Taxi ride from the train station to the hotel is about seven Canadian dollars.

Downtown Prince George is filled with "homeless" people [many of whom I have been told are habitual drug abusers] and there is no police or military presence to monitor these people. I recommend taking a taxi to and from the train station to avoid any potential altercations with drug addicts. The hotel has everything you need, including a small bar and restaurant for dinner, as well as a small market for snacks and sundry items, so there is no need to leave the hotel at night. If I was going to the region for an extended holiday, I would search for a hotel or inn outside of downtown Prince George.

Beautiful hotel, public areas and the room were gorgeous. Didn’t use the pool but it looked very nice. Had food there in the evening and it was tasty and was reasonably priced. It was less than 5 minutes from the train station in a taxi. Staff on reception and in the restaurant were very nice. See below re Booking.com misinformation regarding breakfast.

There were lots of homeless and inebriated people hanging around the area. We had to walk to the nearest supermarket which was a 10 minute walk and didn’t feel comfortable. Most guests appear to be in their cars so probably not relevant to them. Also booking.com reservation stated that breakfast was included but the staff said that they never include breakfast so information on our reservation was incorrect. However the receptionist gave us vouchers for the restaurant that enabled us to get coffee and a muffin as we were leaving for an early train.

Enjoyed Kurig machine in the room. Liked underground parking.

Safety concerns in underground parking. Door to elevators did not shut quickly behind me, there for possibility of someone coming in behind me without a key at the elevators and getting on elevator with me could have been possible. I was nervous of that so was watching out for that as I tried to close the keycard door to the elevators. Didn’t feel safe. Maybe security man in elevator area should be available. Or a help call button visible the moment a person enters the key card entry for elevators.

when entering door to check in at 9 pm - door to hotel was locked in atrium, front desk staff left me waiting after a long journey. She knew I was there but took her time with a gentleman who was conversing with her about not much (I heard the continued conversation afterwards/he was not in midst of checking in) she could have easily continued talking to him and pressed the button to let me in. perhaps more staff at the front desk in the evening is needed.

We had dinner and breakfast in the Bistro and it was excellent, as was the staff. Room was very clean, staff were helpful and pleasant. Hotel in general was very clean and the bistro was inviting.

I wish hotels would put a little more money into the beds. Most of us have pillow top beds at home and when we travel we would like to have the same comfort, unfortunately most hotels including this hotel have mattresses that are very hard and uncomfortable. For someone like myself that has fibromyalgia it makes for a very uncomfortable night. The Bistro was very good but the menu is limited, other than that it was excellent.

I wasn't able to eat the food they had on the menu due to the jaw surgery I had but I explained that to them and asked if I could get scrambled eggs answer a ice coffee both were not on the menu but the staff told me no problem and made them for me and I can't thank them enough for that it showed me that they will take that extra step and they care

A mini fridge that will stay on more than 2hrs and one with a freezer didn't realize it didn't really have one after I bought 2 liters of ice cream(the only thing that I could eat after surgery to help with swelling had to fast for 16hrs before it)

The staff was wonderful. They checked each time you met one, to see if things were ok. The bathroom was very nice considering the needs of disabled persons. The parking was good and the elevators were clean, fragrance free and quiet.

The food was good but it is an acquired palate. The nachos and wings were delicious but I didn't see many items that I could eat. I have allergies to nuts, shellfish and penicillin. You need to include a note on the gluten free items saying what type of flour is used so people with nut allergies can try them. (This is something all restaurants should do)

The room was beautiful, and the bathroom was so big, you could actually move around in there. And the price was great; we just stayed in Kelowna, Kamloops, during our holiday and now the Courtyard By Marriott in Prince George; NOT only was it the most beautiful decor and cleanest and most comfortable of all three hotels, but is it was also the cheapest one. A real value in todays inflation.

Staff was lovely! Polite and helpful! Room was bright! Pool was great!

Shower pressure was not good - and water bottle refill near the pool didn’t work Also the stay was booked on Thursday before(I think) for 209 - then a google search showed up the day of stay for 189…☹️
