The room was very clean and cozy. Having access to a secure underground parking lot was also a plus. Hotel staff were kind and welcoming and answered all our questions.
Another guest let their dog run free on the floor level we were on. When trying to get to our room down the hall from their suite, the dog growled at us in front of our door and didn’t leave until we backed away. We rushed into our room afterwards and closed the door. I blame the guests and not the hotel, but I’m concerned as to what their pet policies are in regards to allowing pets roam unleashed.

The room was very comfy and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had enough variety and loved that is included, so you can take breaky and start the day. Early check-in available🙂 It's a bit far from downtown, but the R5 fast bus stops just in front of the hotel. Convenience store and restaurants around. People say Hastings is the street of homeless people, but the blocks where they are are far from the hotel (even though they're not dangerous, also interesting to see the other side of Vancouver and how drugs affect the area).
Breakfast was so good, but eating with a wooden fork 👎, it tastes like cardboard, in general using paper, plastic or wooden plates/cups/cutlery is not very pleasant.

I was in the wheelchair accessible room. It was very accessible and clean. The bathroom was accessible, no problem rolling into the shower, the shower head was able to be taken off the wall, the commode fit over the toilet, the double sink had a slope under it to fit the knees but would be better to have no wood at all ie exposed under the sink to be able to fit further under the sink. There was plenty of room between the beds to fit the wheelchair and commode beside the bed. The only thing I would say to improve the room would be to make one of the beds lower so my carer didnt have to lift me on and off the bed 3 times a day which is hard on his back and takes away my independence.

I appreciated the free parking and the workout room. Hotel had a classy feel and great decor. I don't like elevators and appreciated the modern, clean bright stairs from floor to floor.
The breakfast could use more healthy food options

The breakfast was good and plenty of tables beyond the breakfast area. The shuttle to the cruise ships was fantastic! The driver was very friendly, helpful, was a safe driver.
Everything was good, except our fridge didn't work and we needed it for medication, but we improvised with ice. We tried to use our friends' fridge in their room but then that one stopped working too! Also, someone had a dog on the balcony which barked and barked! It woke my friends up in the mornings because they were closer, but we heard it too. Reported it to the front desk but they just shrugged their shoulders and said they were pet friendly. Nothing was done.

Katie on reception was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for her so that made up for only one USB port in the room and having a coffee maker as against a kettle which is ok if you want that type of beverage. Location was great as the bus stop is at the front door so it was great. We also found a great little Indian Restaurant called my Indian Village Eatery about 200 Metres up the street which was absolutely wonderful and certainly made up for any other shortcomings.
As I stated previously not enough USB ports in the room or a kettle and apart from the extra taxes you have pay there was one for events management and when I asked about it I wasn’t able to get a proper response so I still have no clue as to what it refers to.

All went well - Good breakfast from cereals toast croissants juices and beverages etc etc to a full hot breakfast to get you going for a full day - Great location with heaps of shops and eateries nearby - especially the Italia Bakery across the road - get on to the creme brulee and a cappuccino. Free shuttle to Canada Place was excellent - The staff were always friendly and helpful
Our first stay there was a bit noisy from the road traffic - but the second stay was excellent - A room at the rear - Other than that all was good

Secure underground parking, comfee bed
We have stayed at this property multiple times over the years, was our go-to hotel when visiting Vancouver. Would stay a couple of nights and head for the island. This time, We were just passing through. Ferry was a 2 sailing wait, and we baked in the heat waiting, so it was too late to stay at SIL place. So booked on the ferry, arrived late, and left early. Overpriced, we have stayed here before, enjoyed some of Vancouver but now it's doubled in price... We will be planning trips by skipping Vancouver now, too expensive.

Saw a lot of awful reviews that made me hesitant and worried about booking this. Obviously the fact that it's cheap already makes you suspicious. Went for it anyway. It exceeded my expectations by a huge margin. The room was super nice and spacious, the bed very comfortable and big, and the bathroom extremely clean and nice. Not sure where all these bad reviews came from but I guess they must have been unlucky. The staff was also very professional and friendly, and the breakfast was amazing too. So much bacon and egg, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, etc. What else can you wish for? This felt like a 4 star stay for the price of a 1 star stay.
The only thing that bothered us a little bit was that the room was a bit cold, and that I couldn't figure out how to change the room temperature, or the thing was defect. Either way, no complaints.

The room, bathroom and onsite car parking.
Difficult to access when driving to the hotel as it is on a busy street near an intersection and no drop off street parking space for check-in.
