It's dated but timeless! There's a bit of rust of the "Scotties" retro tissus racks, and luggage supports in room. We stayed in room 720. The King size bed was like getting a hug, it was so nice. Wifi was good. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was good for breakfast. This place is fairly priced for everything. We would definitely stay here again even in the state it is. It has charm!

Loved the town. Loved location. Loved the hotel (both its age and condition) Impressed by local museum and other sites in area. Our only mistake was booking"only" two nights.

Liked the attached restaurant and the dinner we had. Service however was abysmal. Waited 2 hours for a simple dinner with out explanation as the 1 server was too rushed to even update us on the delay. Feel the hotel left us, as well as that one server, in untenable position.

The staff on the front desk were amazing given the situation with a previous booking at another property booked thru this site

We were right above where the motorcycles were parked and they woke us up early. Also my reservation was for 2 queen beds and when arrived found out that wasn't available and were given a choice of 2 double beds or 1 queen bed. Not sure what the difference in price is between 1 queen bed vs 2 queen beds.

We liked the front desk staff the best, we were there Aug 26th for one night and they were welcoming and informative. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The building is older and some updates, especially the bathroom is needed but everywhere we went in Yarmouth the people were friendly and helpful. Gayles restaurant inside the hotel was great

clean, friendly staff, basics were all covered, my partner enjoyed the pool and the eliptical machine in the gym, maybe next time we'll get a chance to try the sauna.

The accessibility was excellent. The staff went out of there way to insure we had a present stay. The food in the restaurant was very good and a nice selection. I had enough room for my electric wheelchair throughout the property and in the room. Excellent shower.

A good basic hotel with good service. The in house restuarant was very good with some regional dishes, ther waitress was very helpful with food alergies.

Hotel decor a little 'tired' but as we were leaving we spoke with a workman who was stripping wallpaper and stated the hotel was in the process of a refurb so this is likely to change.

The staff was very friendly and if I asked about something they were right on it. We actually stayed a few times. The only thing I didn’t like was my daughter was trying to sleep and there were kids next door slamming stuff yelling and banging. That’s the only thing. We stayed there multiple times over the years and this is the first time this has papered.

Convenient to CAT ferry. Ferry arrives in early evening and unloading and Customs takes at least an hour. Hotel is nearby and has restaurant open until 9pm. Note Halifax time is also an hour ahead of USA Eastern standard time.

Wonderful restaurant, first rate menu and lives up to it. Excellent space room with great accommodation with desk, super comfortable desk chair, desktop device outlets. I was very pleased. A bonus was the easiest to set alarm clock I have ever experienced.
