The hotel is very new, and there are design decisions that are very useful - a computer use area offering privacy, elevators with direct keyed access to parking, the room had auditory aids for the door, and the bathroom and room were set to accommodate people with wheelchairs or walkers without making it feel awkward. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, from front desk to breakfast people to housekeeping. They called me immediately about a forgotten item after checkout. The pool was big enough for laps, and the slide was set on its own to keep splashes and mishaps minimized. We did not use the fitness room, though there was one. The offer for "Breakfast Included" is always appreciated, though it is often just continental. The Tru Hilton, however, had an extensive hot and cold buffett offering, with GF bread as well - two types! and GF packaged brownies as well. Oatmeal, eggs, bacon and more. The GF was essential for one of our group, and two different staff on different days indicated that this is a goal of their breakfast plan. I booked early in the summer, and the rates were very reasonable. Five minutes from the centre of town. Great stop. All three of us said we would book there again.

Very useful hanging space with low hanging rod is good, and five pegs for coats or hangers at different heights is useful. One more set of open built in shelves floor to ceiling could incorporate the desk, and offer extra accessible storage right above the desk, and though the next shelf or shelves up would be reached only by standing, it would be very useful when three or four adults are booking the room for several days, This feature was the building designers choice, but might be possible to add, after the fact.

Nice, clean, extremely comfortable room. Beautiful bathroom. Huge 55 inch T.V. Laundry on site—$3.00 per load for each washer and dryer—very convenient! Trish, the front desk clerk was pleasant and very helpful. She was very informative and went the extra mile for us and everyone else. I appreciated her help with the washer and advice about Hilton points. We had a delicious breakfast—bagels, bacon, boiled eggs, fresh fruit and pancakes. The style of this hotel is user friendly for families—pool, foosball and bright colours. Very funky! I loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to other travellers.

The hotel is not close to the downtown core but it is close enough to shopping and neighbourhood restaurants.

The breakfast was exceptional. A woman named Cindy, who worked the breakfast room made it exceptional. She made sure all of the customers got what they wanted and were happy with their choices. She spoke to each customer and treated them like they were in her own home. She made sure the breakfast area was supplied and kept the place neat and clean. All tables and eating areas were cleaned when the customer was done.

Our room had only one chair. The room is obviously planned for more than one guest, but the one chair causes all others to sit on the bed, which is not good. The bench had a padded area, but it was not conducive to relaxing.

It was clean, had everything we needed and if we needed anything staff were so accommodating and friendly . We really enjoyed everything about our stay and will definitely be back

We had a little mishap with our son on the water slide . In the morning, the water slide water wasn’t turned on . One it got turned on, my son went down, maybe a bit too early ? He came out of the end of the water slide and actually couldn’t stop and hit into the end . It was no fault on anyone, just a learning experience, but it could have been a lot worse .

A modern, very clean hotel with pleasant staff. Also quiet. Complimentary breakfast. Well located on Starrs Rd. There is also a restaurant right next door. Good food, reasonable prices and they deliver to your room if requested. This is our place to stay now when staying in Yarmouth.

My husband missed having a comfy chair in the room. Chair is more like a work chair at a desk so not a comfortable option if you don't want to be just sitting or lying on the bed. Also this is a pet friendly hotel and not being a dog person, I didn't like having larger dogs with owners about the lobby or about to get on elevator with us. Other than that, no complaints.

I enjoyed the pool & slide. Hearing the squeals of joy and laughter from children & adults was delightful! The hotel was laid out nicely that made things easy to find. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and approachable. Great location! The rooms were clean. The breakfast bar had a good selection and was well attended by staff. The decor is bright, cheery & relaxing. .

I wish there were more healthy options available at the snack counter. I would have like to seen prices marked clearly on the snack counter. There really is nothing else.

The look of the hotel and how staff made it an enjoyable stay. Loved the room it was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

Loved the hotel but the fact that we found a few toenail clippings on the floor in our room means it was not properly swept and washed. When checking out I had mentioned it, and the staff member took some money off, which is okay, but I hope this does not happen again...not very sanitary.

Convenient location to take the ferry from Yarmouth. Nice breakfast with choices. Room was clean and well designed, lots of hooks, shelves and outlets, no more searching behind a table or unplugging a lamp to charge a phone. Plenty of room in the bathroom for towels, clothing and toiletries.

Didn't love the squeezable tubes of soap and shampoo, the soap at the sink was especially hard to dispense.

We loved staying @Tru. It was clean, modern and Fun! Our kids loved the water slide, pool and commons area. The rooms were super clean, comfortable and modern. Being a family on the taller side, we enjoyed a shower stall in the bathroom; our first hotel shower we didn’t need to “duck” in. The No Radio shampoo canisters are now our favourite brand! The hotel itself is close by to a movie theatre and some shopping areas for essentials. It was March Break when we stayed and extremely busy as a giant storm was on its way, the staff was extremely pleasant while dealing with the added rambunctious children. A great value, we’d stay here again!

The staff were amazing. Above and beyond at every interaction, especially Sophia at the front desk. Breakfast was the best I've seen and I stay at hotels 2 to 3 night per week for work.

The pool was "heated" but the first day was a little colder than I liked. The subsequent days it was better. The machinery noise in the pool area was excessive.
