We loved the expansive property, the elegance of the large interior. It had a Royal feel to it. The grounds were very large and beautifully maintained. Our room had numerous details for our comfort and convenience, fridge, coffee machine, beautiful china, welcome bottle of wime, a tasty cheese tray, grapes, variety of crackers, nuts and pastry. A trayfulmof snacks, teas, cream cheese, honey creams, butter, bottles of filtered water and orange juice. Excellent beds, we had 2 room suit and plenty of towels. The host was amazing as she dug through a compost garbage bag to find my plastic dental retainer and we found it. Service above and beyond anything I could imagine! Thank you Lennie I am grateful for your kindness. Excellent breakfast, delicious eggs Benedict, pea-meal bacon and fresh strawberries, yogurt, sausages, pancakes, home fried potatoes, and great coffee. Super friendly staff, in every way we highly recommend anyone to stay at Clonmel Castle 🤗

No complaints at all.

Due to the pandemic, a minimal breakfast was served to our room. However there were added facilities, such as fridge, microwave, toaster etc. so we could quickly prepare what was needed. Our hostess, Lynnee, was gracious and gave us an upgraded room without our having to pay anything extra. The rooms were extra quiet due to the high quality construction of the building. The house also had an extensive library with numerous interesting historical books as well as a comfortable lounge and patio area...We would definitely stay again when next visiting Norfolk region.

I loved the warmth & attention to detail from start to finish. It just felt like arriving home after a long day! The suite was exceptionally comfortable in every way. I loved the fact that they are eco-conscience in their approach to toiletries. The refrigerator was stocked with goodies & freshly prepared quiche. A beautiful bottle of complimentary wine was the finishing touch to an already perfect stay! I only wish I had a longer stay to spend time in the beautiful library curled up reading!!

Nothing - it was absolutely perfect!

My fiance and I had been on the road in our camper for a couple of weeks, we decided we wanted to book a couple of nights to treat ourselves. We were not disappointed and ended up extending our stay. The breakfast and options included for snacking were amazing! We were so comfortable and would love to stay again!!

The house is wonderful as are the owners. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel right at home. Beautiful historic and tasteful boutique accommodation. The breakfast was amazing as was the welcome food on arrival (no extra charge). We also had one evening meal (extra of course) which was delicious. A lovely walk through the grounds and local park to Port Dover. Would recommend without hesitation.

Incredibly spacious, especially for the price. Staff was very attentive and always making sure we had everything we needed whenever they saw us coming or going. Very classic architecture style, incredibly interesting and not something we’d ever seen before. Complimentary bottle of wine was an excellent touch!

Large beautiful property. Amazing stately home that was renovated beautifully and did provide a "back in time" feel. The hostess (owner) Lynne was a delight. Very friendly and personable as well as accommodating. We arrived in the off season (November) and were the only ones in the home (aside from Lynne); and we were provided all amenities, access to the whole house as well as privacy...and Lynne was not far if we needed anything as well as ensured we comfortable and had all that we needed for our stay. Definitely a different and great experience from a regular hotel stay. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves :)

The breakfast was exceptional. We are vegetarians. The on-site chef/owner prepares meals for all dietary needs. The food was delicious, and the presentation was exceptional. Lenee, the owner/chef, delivered the breakfasts for our room.

There was not one thing that I didn't like.

Great care was taken to make our stay a special . Clonmel castle is truly a hidden gem among accommodations . A stay here means your now part of its distinct history History buffs would find a stay here a treat with the great mix of interesting and varied items on display.

Piano needs to be tuned

It was kept very clean. Many things reminded you of a castle. Rooms had many windows with lots of light. Hosts were amazing! Food was really tasty and fulfilled our demands of whatever we wanted to eat and it was prepared for us.
