had late check in, no reception staff was available, but they had envelopes placed at diff spots and instructions given on where my room was and how to get in were very clear. Beds in room were comfortable. The whole hotel was pretty big and lots of common area like a living room with soft background music and lots of books and magazines making it very cozy; there were toaster, oven, microwave, kettle...etc in the kitchen. set up and design was unique and clean. Need to ask "the property" questions from the beginning (time of booking) to arrival and departure, all answered promptly by email. Initially, most of my replies got sent to my spam folder, so I thought the property did not answer me, eventually, they called me in person. Since then, I kept checking my spam folder. They were all answered promptly.

1. old towels from previous occupants were left in the suite, but housekeeping came to clean up the next day. 2. No toiletries. 3. Wish there was a washing machine with dryer, as many guests may be involved with sporting activities and hence may need to wash some stuff. 4. Car park spaces were all really small (but lucky, we were the only car there)

Lovely little hotel , free bus passes was a bonus , lovely stone wall room with use of communal kitchen facilities, room was better than expected , whole feel of hotel was very good , staff on front desk was friendly and the girl could not be more helpful , location 5 min bus straight down the same road finds you in old town , you could easily walk it in 15 min - also 2 min walk from hotel is a nice local neighbourhood with some bars , restaurants , chemists , and stores really nice feel to the area

Very, very friendly staff from the beginning. It was like instantly staying with a good neighbor. They gave great advice about nearby restaurants, activities and bus service. The amenities in the room and closeness to a grocery store meant we didn't have to go to a restaurant for breakfast every day. Restaurants and boulangerie nearby were all great! Although located on a main street, we found our room quiet. Location makes it easy to walk or get transit to anywhere you want to go. Excellent stay overall!

We enjoyed the location. It is not within the walls of the old city but a 12 minute walk out into the neighborhood. We had the best of both parts of the city. We used the bus system a lot which was clean and efficient. The Rue Cartier was filled with restaurants and only a block away. The common use kitchenette was a bonus for making coffee and the refrigerator and microwave allowed for using leftover restaurant takeout.

Parking is limited. Make sure to add that to your reservation

Lynn was terrific, gave us suggestions for things to do in the area, and helped us hone in on locations we were interested in exploring. She recommended various activities in the area, including restaurants, areas to explore, and the best ways to get around.

Quite frankly everything went very well, we were both quite pleased. A very picky point is the combo lock on the side front door (lower level) malfunctioned on evening, however our key worked and I think resolved the issue. Just for you to know in case it happens again.

Liked that there was a salon on the main floor for relaxing, reading, coffee and a kitchen upstairs.

Front door was locked at night and there was only one exit in case of fire. Also, a lack of grab bars in the bathroom and a very slippery shower.

The room is a little small, but clean and neat. It has everything necessary. Parking is very tight, not easy. The location is perfect! The whole feeling is like B&B, but no breakfast, which is good because des Couzines breakfast three minutes away is unbelievable.

The property was comfortable and in a handy location for sightseeing in the old city, and close to some excellent restaurants and cafes outside of the tourist area.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. It’s a clean and comfortable and in a good location. It’s not luxurious, but the price reflects that.

The many kitchens and dining areas, terraces ”summer and winter gardens” etc. keep this place very cozy and made us wanna hang out more there. The best location to be in Quebec. Just a walking distance to everything: Vieux Québec, Plaines d’Abraham, Cartier neighborhood. A Metro supermarket around the corner.

The room was on the smaller side though and parking was not free ;(
