The room was very nice. The staff were always very helpful. Breakfast was a treat.

No complaints with the hotel. Booking.com gave incorrect directions to the hotel. That was inconvenient.

The rooms are nice and it’s an overall very good hotel for Guangzhou. The breakfast is amazing.

Staff mostly doesn’t speak English or very little. If you are a foreigner visiting for the first time you might not get the support you expect from a 5 star hotel.

The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had in China - very high quality and HUGE selection. For example, the bacon is hand carved off a slab of meat, not out of a package like most other hotels. Very impressed. The room itself was spacious but a little dated. Bar is open until 2am which is later than most hotel bars in China. Location is great, in the heart of Tianhe close to awesome bars and restaurants. Huge gym with lots of equipment.

The pool is very small, more than a few swimmers in it at a time and it feels crowded. Not many English/foreign TV channels (e.g., no HBO, just CNN and one English B-movie channel). Some of the staff seem a bit undertrained - I asked the bellhop in the lobby where the washroom was and he pointed into somewhere into the first floor lobby bar - spoiler, there was no washroom in the lobby bar. Frustrating because I walked the length of it trying to find it. I'd just expect staff to be a little more attentive. At breakfast we also were led to a table, and had another guest steal it when we came back to sit down - I guess the staff weren't paying attention.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They allowed me to check out late in the afternoon without any hassle. The hotel staff would order a taxi every day for me to my destination, and I would reimburse them directly. This gave me an added layer of protection, which meant I didn't have to deal with the taxi drivers directly, some of which were not straightforward. If there was an issue in the room, it was quickly fixed.

My credit cards 💳 were debited, and I was told they were turned down, and I saw it on the display. I ended up paying online. My bank slips say otherwise. I don't think it was intentional, though... maybe just some technical issues. I would like them to shed light on it, whether I have been mistakenly charged several times.

The location is great. Good restaurants, and shopping centers nearby. The breakfast was very extensive. You had everything you could wish for, from European to Chinese cuisine. The staff in the lobby was very helpful. The taxi we took from the airport to the hotel made us pay too much. When we told the staff about this, they called the taxi company and made a complaint. After 2 days, the staff even passed on the money to us, which the taxi company refunded. I feel very bad because I have not seen the two helpful colleagues again. You deserved a big tip. Cawan was the name of one of the staff. So thank you again.

Checking in was very exhausting when you had to wait in line for half an hour after a 24-hour flight. And when it was our turn, the woman at the front desk didn't speak English, and had to wait another 10 minutes for the manager.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for three nights, and our experience was truly exceptional. The primary reason for this was the hotel manager, Jenney Xu. From the moment we checked in to our departure, Jenney's professionalism, efficiency, and warm hospitality were evident. She was a friendly face during our stay and was always available to assist us with all our needs, no matter how big or small. Jenney displayed a level of service that went far beyond our expectations. She made our check-in process smooth and efficient, answered all our queries promptly, and was quick to resolve any issues we encountered during our stay. Her attention to detail, proactive approach, and genuinely caring attitude made us feel as if we were the only guests at the hotel.

We had a minor accident and needed to go to the hospital. The duty managers Jack and Cavin went above and beyond in taking care of us and ensuring that we would be okay. I can't thank them enough. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The location of the hotel is about a 10-15 min walk to the Tian He shopping district. Not too far but I enjoyed taking up the scenery walking there. The walk leads you through a underground subway tunnel with lots of snack shops to try.

September 11 was my birthday, and my boyfriend and I chose the Sofitel Sunrich Hotel. Everything was magical. The staff speaks English fluently. Everyone is very friendly and polite. I especially want to note and thank the administrator Lauren Zhang, with her help the settlement was very comfortable. Lauren is a real professional in her field, she helped in everything, and was very friendly. Our room was specially decorated in honor of my birthday, a bottle of wine, fruit and strawberry mousse cake were presented from the hotel as a compliment. Breakfast at the hotel is in Chinese style, but the choice of food is good, everything was delicious. Our stay at the hotel was magical. We will definitely go back there again!

Very expensive swimsuits in the spa area. We forgot our swimming suits, but didn't buy them at the spa because they're not worth their inflated price.

Spacious room, great location

Front office staff was slow during check in, messed up customer details, i was given other people papers to sign and insist it was mine. During check out i was told to pay again (as i already paid in advance) once again insist to deduct my deposit. Turned out that the the FO was mistaken. How can this uncoordinated work happen in 5 stars hotel?

cozy and comfortable rooms, well-maintained. excellent breakfast and kitchen. For those visiting for canton fair, though it is not close they offer courtesy transportation - and you can take advantage of the mallls and stores in the vicinities.

should you are non-smoker, make sure to advise front desk to get you a smoke-free room and reinforce that. in my case - I’m allergic to tobacco- i was firstly given a room with residual smell.
