My room was comfortable. Most of the staff were friendly. (Tia on 22nd floor is super sweet) The outdoor garden is super beautiful. The Chinese restaurant and Japanese restaurants are both good. The buffet isn’t bad. Not as good as Hyatt in Beijing or even Holiday Inn in Kunming.

The decorations in the lobby were gaudy. Some of the flowers arrangement were ugly (hot pink and orange, furry bunnies!)The gigantic ad for Giada was super ugly with a depressing emaciated model. I had to passed this ad several times a day and it is just depressing. Wish they don’t dress the greeting staff in gold coins. Feel sorry for them. They need to hire better taste decorators.

Great place well located stayed many times

Only one issue on checkout it took 40 minutes as I was paying for 2 rooms something so simple as made so hard was not very happy with this Why why would you take food and drink off the main bill to then put it on another bill to then make me 3 bills after she spent 10 minutes doing this to ask me would I like it all on one bill then to inform me that they had lost the records of my pre payment and could I check my account to see how much I had already paid

- You can smell the elegance as soon as you walk in and it is oozing style. - Comfortable bed! - Great location. Close to subway and a lot of good restaurants! - Great staff. Gave us flowers and free breakfasts because the system was a bit slow when checking us in. - Wifi with VPN!! - Free gym is decent! - Great breakfast!

- The wifi was a bit unstable and the connection could be very very poor, which is very frustrating.. - Their system needs to be upgraded because check-in and check-out can be really slow..

Very improved check-in service and excellent concierge. Newly positioned restaurants, especially Waterfall & Japanese add to a great atmosphere and the addition of an in-hotel museum adds something of interest for all travellers, both adults & children.

Not enough capacity at breakfast peak times- long waiting queue to access. Noisy ongoing metro project on Jianshe Liu Ma Lu - road closed spoiling access to the other side where a lot of restaurants are situated. Drilling going on until 11pm and can be heard from bedrooms on this wing. Room service menu needs improving- no gluten free or dairy free options for customers with allergies/intolerances.

i have a long history with this property .the first time i stayed here was in 1997 . i had just started working and my company had booked me a room in this hotel . so this property is very special to me . many memories attached to it

Its not maintained properly from outside . all the paint is peeling off . infact i could get better property for cheaper rates . i think this will be my last stay . its not worth its money . i also got a v v v bad experience this time with the hotel staff . i went fir a breakfast and went to the live egg stall . the guy was so rude . inface the breakfast department all were very rude . they were rude to brown and black people . hence this was my last stay in the hotel . this is very unfortunate .

Most of the reception team doesnt speak english and hard to communicate with them. I wasnt able to pay by credit card; because they said amount ia high. So i had to pay all my cahs money at the hotel. And they asked me to exchange to rmb. One of the staff asked for tips and didnt like that approach. The breakfast doesnt have so many internatiinal food.

The garden was beautiful.

The inside flower decoration was not good. I hated the fury rabbits and the greeting ladies gold coin dresses. Very ugly. Also, hot pink and oranges look awful for flower arrangement. The buffet was pretty good but way too overpriced.

everything is perfect, staff is amazing especially Mr.Jay from the front office: he’s the perfect example of a proactive hospitable people who is always way beyond your best expectations. The staff at the breakfast area in the lounge are superb: Lisa, Candy , Esther, Carrie, Nikki and all were so attentive and mind readers who just present their services with charming smiles and kindness. I've been coming to Guangzhou for many years, and this time was really the best.
