Somerset is located close to the business district and just a short taxi drive to some of the major malls. I stayed in a three bedroom apartment which was clean, well maintained and very spacious. The reception staff spoke English which made check in very easy. Breakfast was the usual fair with noodles being a big hit with most of the diners. It was also very easy to get a taxi outside on the road with a few minutes.

The bed was little soft for my preference, but that is very subjective and the bed did not affect anyone else.

Service Crew of Ascott Hotel Somerset (刘继华 ) did a very good job in hailing a taxi for me. Service is superb. Room upgrade was given on a complimentary basis, very kind of the property. Definitely will stay again

Perhaps, complimentary breakfast would be a good touch, though it is fine! Wished I had been able to spend more time at this place. The TV was not really working, suspect the controller was faulty, but it is fine!

The room was very spacious and well-equipped with everything you'll need even for a longer stay (i.e. washing machine, huge fridge etc.). The breakfast buffet had a decent variety of both western and Asian options, but the only downside was the coffee.

My father had difficulty getting the messages across to staff as they barely speak any English, which adds a bit of stress for organization part of the stay (i.e. refund of the deposit, keeping luggage at the hotel etc.).

the room felt dusty. There's no airconditioning in the corridors and they leave the airconditioning in the rooms off between guests so on entering for the first time there is a stale smell in the suite.

Very huge room for a solo traveler. They provide everything for my daily needs. Comfortable pillows and bed.

1. The location on Google Maps & Apple Maps is wrong. Probably it’s not their fault. 2. I entered the room and someone left the half-opened water bottle on the table so I went downstairs to request for another room. The requested got approved. But it’s not big issue for me.

Though not many choices are available for the buffet breakfast, the food is fresh and tasty. The things I like most are the spa pool on the 5/F of the hotel and spacious & cosy hotel room. I highly recommend this hotel to others and will definitely choose this hotel again next time when I go to Shenzhen.

Nothing. Everything's perfect.

The room was wide and spacious with lots of places to relax. The facilities on site were well kept and clean. The property was thoroughly cleaned as well every day. The bathoom was well kept and a nice power shower.

The paid WiFi didn't work at the best of times in the property - either it connected by had no access to the internet or it would not connect at all. I couldn't find any vending machines to purchase any drinks in the hotel.

Very friendly fast and great service

I think the corridors are without air conditioners, this will need to be improved as during hot days it's quite stuffy and hot.

The staff were super friendly, the check in process was very smooth, so was the whole stay. The hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants, and shops, and is also within walking distance to one of the largest shopping complex called COCO Park(highly recommended).

Not a big issue, but there was a slight odor in the gym.
