The location is very central and a close to main attractions (everything is walking distance) like the market, the museums, the church, etc. I requested silent room, and they put me in the back. very happy about this! the house is very homy, you feel authentic colonial style home. the staffs are friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable, both room and the bathroom are spacious. the old floor makes some noise, better ask for corner room (ask for silent room at the back).

Not many of them speak fluent english. But their genuity very makes my stay very nice. breakfast could be nicer.

Breakfast was simple but yummy. The staff was super kind, helpful and friendly. It’s an old building so the wooden floors do a lot of noice but that is normal. We were upgraded to the suite at no extra cost and overall we loved it! We were able to walk to museums, Monserrate and there’s a billion restaurants around to choose from. Highly recommend!

More pillows on the bed would have been nice! Also the sheets had little balls from too much washing and drying in the machines, so softer sheets would have been nice too.

Extremely Charming building built between 1830 and 1862, so inner courtyard, tall ceilings, hardwood floors, a couch, writing desk, and other nice touches in the rooms as well as a nice bathroom & shower. I had a room with twin beds, and the beds were comfortable (soft) so it was our best night of sleeping in Colombia. Also, there were no windows, and it was insulated from noise on the outside which was nice. The hotel arranged a taxi on our arrival, about $8 more than if we used an uber, but we arrived late and it was nice to have someone holding a sign. An excellent breakfast was served and included in the rate. Perfectly located for a short walk to Botero and Gold Museums as well as shopping in Candelaria Market or for Emeralds.

Really, this is unavoidable when you stay in a charming historic building....the hardwood floors are probably original so they creak really loudly when you walk across. This only impacts you when one person gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but it is impossible for the other person not to wake up. Its that loud. Again, it's par for the course with the historic charm, so nothing can be done about it other than awareness.

Cool and old house. Very centrally located, close to the Gold museum and everything else. Feels secure. The reception was nice to allow me to check in early.

As the building is quite old, the room would benefit from an upgrade. The boards creak as you walk, and there's water leaking from the sink onto the floor. It didn't bother me too much as it was a short stay. The room was cold and on the bottom floor, I was offered a blanket and a heater however which was lovely and made the stay so much better.

The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. It is also one of the few true 24 hour receptions. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of where you want to be. The architecture of the property with its inner courtyards also made it extra special.

The floorboards were overflexing in parts which was both noisy and made it feel slightly unconfortable when walking on them. Our groundfloor room faced the inner courtyard which meant for privacy we always had to have the shutters closed so the room had no natural light.

Casa de la Vega was just the perfect stay for our short trip in Bogotá. The lobby arranged a taxi service from the airport to the hotel, which is in the popular neighborhood called La Candelaria. This place is full of nice coffeebars and small restaurants. Also, it’s close to Monserrate with a beautiful view over the whole city. Tip: if you visit Monserrate, make sure you get a taxi back to the hotel or restaurant. Especially at the end of the day. The people at the desk are extremely friendly. The hotel is in a family for years and you get a very cosy authentic atmosphere as soon as you enter the stay. In the middle there is a beautiful patio where you’re able to relax and plan your program of the day. The lovely hotel colors creates a nice atmosphere. The rooms are very clean with a nice bed and bathroom. This was the perfect way to start our travel!

The staff at the reception was very welcoming. They offered us useful tips and were always ready to help. The breakfast was very good and the man serving was very kind. We wouldn't hesitate to book again when in Bogota. The receptionist provided us as well a small printed map and explained is how to get around the city and which are the main attractions.

The room wasn't having as much light as in the pictures (the picture displayed another type of room, the one we received was just having a small window above the door, but the staff and overall experienced was nice for our 1 night stay

Perfect location in Candelaria. The stuff is really helpful and always very available. Breakfast is nice as the breakfast room. There's a nice patio inside where you can relax. The rooms are clean, good bedding. Hot water and very good pression. Plenty of toiletries. All of that in ancient building. I will come back

The road can be pretty noisy, but not in the heart of the night. Internet should be improved

Extremely well located. I had the biggest room with tile windows. Was very well decorated. hotel architecture is amazing with still original old wooden floor. (minus you can hear everyone walking :) ) There is TV (only with your personal apps such as Amazon etc) walking distance to all main attractions of Bogota such as main museums. good continental breakfast very good value for the money

none of the hotels has heating in Bogota, so room can get cold and hard to shower when is cold. But you manage after a while. Walls are very thin so I had to hear some "unwanted" sound from next room after midnight :)

Room was clean and the washroom spacious. The room was rustic, not a new build, with wooden floors and door. I was concerned that staying in a courtyard facing room would be noisy but it was quiet. Gabriel at the front desk was lovely and very accommodating. I appreciated his kind and attentive service during my check in and stay.

The floors were a little uneven and creaky but it is an older building so it is what can be expected. Once you got used to it, it was fine!
