I loved the Staff ; I called ahead to ask some details about my passport and Taxes and the gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and professional. When we arrive on Sunday, he was present and in our file everything we talked about. The entire stay was amazing.

They have an amazing beach where if we walk a little to the left at 8am plenty of pelicans and birds can be seen... I wish they will incorporate that in the "brochures" and why not using the existing fishermen as guides.

We really enjoy the amenities: the pools were clean and spacious, the beach was very convenient and secure. The room was nice and the view was beautiful. And the restaurant food and service was very good. I want to say thank you to everyone from the reception, to the management team, to the staff who take care of the hotel every day, to keep it clean, safe and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time at the GHL hotel Costa Azul this past weekend.

Unfortunately, the first night, the hotel had a wedding event that was very loud and lasted till almost 3am. We're very upset because we couldn't sleep the whole night. The following day, we gave the management team our feedback and they took it very professionally. Hopefully, they've learned from this situation for future events.

The pools are very good and spacious. No problem to find seats and parasols. The cocktails at the cocktail bar in the pool are delicious and contain a good amount of alcohol ;-)

Since the place is a little bit isolated, I found the variety of the restaurant menu a little bit small. The flavours are good though, but after a couple of days you might want to eat something else.

All staff were exceptional! The front desk was excellent. Luis? bell staff gets a special shout-out for over the top friendliness. Restaurant staff superb. Special kudos to Arturo. And Jolman was simply the best.

The facilities need to be freshened up. Paint, cracked tiles, etc. Property not to resort standards.

What I liked more about this place was the staff. All kind, hospitable and attentive.

The only small think we didn’t like was that there is not a direct pathway from the new building to the restaurant, main reception or beach. You will have to go down the basement and behind the building and with the rain 🌧️ it was not the best.

Perfect hotel for a quiet vacation with the family. We have two small children and it was perfect! The kids pool is really nice and the beach is fantastic, no crowded and very few vendors. Will 100% come back

It is a bit far from Santa Marta downtown but that is what we were looking for.

What a good experience. All was perfect. All the staff is warm and so friendly. The hotel is clean, so close to the beach, with a awesome pool, and the rooms are clean, big, with a great view. The food is really good and you have a lot of options. I hope to come back the next year.

The staff were first class, always ready to help and approachable. especially the lady on reception (I think her name was Marisol). The kids pool is perfect and large and the hotel is right next to the beach. There were hardly any vendors and those that were there were respectful and did not intrude. If you are looking for a beach holiday with some pool time, this place is perfect. I can’t wait to go back to relax.

we had to move rooms due to lack of hot water. but the staff more than made up for this by giving us a beautiful room with a sea view. they also gave us a complimentary plate of cheese, ham and fruits! There was no entertainment at all, despite the hotel advertising it. I couldn’t find the gym either. However, with the pool open until 8, it didn’t really matter as my little boy wouldn’t have been able to do more.

Pool is great, direct entrance to the beach from the hotel. Food is good, not fancy but good enough.

If you like working out while you are on vacations this is not your place as the hotel does not have a gym. If you don’t have a car, it is not easy going out during the night to the downtown. Value for cost is not the best.

Staff was very nice, private beach, big room, breakfast was not that big but was good.

Not very maintained and clean. The pool is big and nice but there were a lot of insects inside. Overall by my opinion it’s a place more for elderly and families and not for young couples.
